I think she is a liar. But how big of a deal is this if she just says, oops my bad, got the brand name wrong! Is this really a smoking gun?

Then she'll have to find another brand name that sells correction makeup that's mainstream (and not the special effects makeup that comes in big bottles). At the time, and even now, not that many brands would sell a pocket size package to cover and cancel/neutralize every possible shade or bump on your face, which is necessary with bruises. Sometimes they are blue, sometimes green or red and that requires saturated well studied range of pigments.
I think they wanted to prove that she was very good with covering and making her supposed wounds invisible, which is time consuming and doesn't work with just any single concealer. It's possible and convenient if you have a pack that neutralizes all possible undertones, so they picked Milani brand.

I bet this was Amber advising her team about something she's good at (she's not!) and they trusted it (why?) instead of double checking with a pro makeup artist.

It was also a prop during opening arguments and not introduced as evidence. This controversy is entirely overblown.

I missed that and will go back to it today, but yes, not surprised that it was overblown. The public enjoys catching Amber Heard in yet another lie.

Re waste of court time and resources. I mean, granted, it's not an important criminal trial or a trial on a product that is dangerous to the public, but the claims apparently had enough merit to them that they were not thrown out of court on a summary disposition. I think I read that Heard's lawyers tried to get the judge to dismiss it 3 times, so now a jury will decide.

For other law folks, what if he would have sued also for bodily injury to his finger? As a musician in a band, surely he could have established loss of income due to not being able to play guitar, assuming his dominant hand was damaged. I guess he probably missed a statute of limitations by not pursuing. Not sure, as it occurred in Australia. Could have been a criminal charge, too.

How in the world could they parade that compact around without checking the details? That’s some bargain-basement lawyer bullshit.

Johnny Depp has a good sense of humor! You can tell he is also very patient.

This. He actually seems likeable and intelligent in these clips. But when he answers a fully question, he’s almost incoherent and rambling.

I find that he rambles some but is not incoherent. He answers the question in more of a storyteller manner.

-1 his words are real words but mushed together they don’t make a lot of sense.

She is looks like a female version of Johnny.

^^^^ Amber was incredibly beautiful pre Depp days. They were bad for each other but he was TWICE her age when they met and should have known better. There is absolutely no way he can account for his behavior, or Amber for conduct, when consuming so many drugs and alcohol.

I wish they would both settle this out of court, as a matter of respect to his children. The only people winning here are their lawyers getting prime time attention.

What do you think Johnny does on the weekends at the Ritz or in Tysons?

Now that the brand outed her as a liar, can they just back away from it? They don’t have to have her testify to it since it’s not evidence, right? Can Johnny’s lawyers question her about the makeup even if her lawyers don’t bring it up again?

It’s be nice if the answer was me but alas, I’m guessing he flies somewhere like NYC and returns Sunday.

I find he does make sense. He seemed to be answering questions a similar way in the 1980s. Might not be the most direct way of answering in the fewest number of words, but it addresses the question in more of a colorful, abstract way. Old interview: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Roj5a6YQTuw&t=72s
