What is something you'd never admit outloud...

Sometimes I hate myself for thinking it but I wish I were married to a rich high status man that enabled me to stay home and be Betty Crocker. I'd make elaborate meals, beautify my home, have a cutesy job such as being a kindergarten teacher.

Its so vanilla but yeah...

What about you?

I think you're about to get an ass-chewin' for calling the job of Kindergarten Teacher cutesy...

You don't need to marry a "rich high status" man to stay at home or teach kindergarten. Nor is there anything embarrassing about that lifestyle.

Being a K teacher is so FUCKING hard. So hard. VERY rewarding but not cutesy or fluffy at all. Signed, a former K teacher who had to hop over to tutoring because it was so draining to do while raising my own kids.

That I don't care about economic diversity, no, I don't want my kid going to school with poor kids who don't speak English.

What about rich kids with highly educated parents? This represents most of the ESOL population in Bethesda-area public schools.

Would you like you and your child to go live abroad and be considered like dirt because you are learning the language?

I'd take my STBX back, I don't care that my kids live in a bubble, I don't pay attention to current events or politics.

I am a very picky eater. I am the opposite of a foodie--I could eat a grilled cheese sandwich every night for dinner and be perfectly happy. I never go to foodie restaurants. Grilled cheese and mac and cheese are my favorite foods. I don't like any kind of spicy food or any salt/pepper on my food and have a very limited range of foods I will eat. I also don't drink alcohol or coffee, because I think they taste awful, and only drink water, orange juice and lemonade. I am not an adventurous eater and feel like my palette is kind of juvenile compared to most other adults (I'm in my early 40s).

I'm sitting on the toilet right now while also brushing my teeth and surfing DCUM.

I want this lifestyle as well, but I freely admit it.

I voted for Trump, think he's doing a great job and can't wait to see what he tackles after he gets the health care bill through.

He sure is bragging and talking, but apart from that, what exactly has he done that you are so happy about?

Most Americans I've met in the Washington DC area (NW DC, Bethesda and Silver Spring, to be precise), greatly lack the literary, geographical and historical references, general culture and knowledge of the world exhibited by the British, French, German and other Europeans.

It's actually quite scary when you consider that the capital area is composed of this country's educated elite. Sadly, it gives credence to the stereotype of the crass American. It might explain why this country voted for Trump, when the majority of European nations, despite much greater incentive to do so (a lot more migrants and unemployment), have so far resisted electing an extremist leader.
