What is something you'd never admit outloud...

Same here. He doesn't HATE America.

It's actually quite scary when you consider that the capital area is composed of this country's educated elite. Sadly, it gives credence to the stereotype of the crass American. It might explain why this country voted for Trump, when the majority of European nations, despite much greater incentive to do so (a lot more migrants and unemployment), have so far resisted electing an extremist leader.

Hitler's calling. It's for you.

When the Europeans start complaining about America and Americans, I want to ask them why they're here if where they're from is so vastly better. I would never go to their country and shit all over their customs, people and language. If I thought it was that bad I certainly wouldn't move here permanently. For some of the people I'm thinking of, being here instead of their native European country certainly allowed them a nice life of being a SAHM while receiving Medicaid and other benefits for their children they had here.

Grilled cheese and mac and cheese are my favorite foods. I don't like any kind of spicy food or any salt/pepper on my food and have a very limited range of foods I will eat. I also don't drink alcohol or coffee, because I think they taste awful, and only drink water, orange juice and lemonade. I am not an adventurous eater and feel like my palette is kind of juvenile compared to most other adults (I'm in my early 40s).

No need to admit it out loud, as I'm sure everyone in your family and your friends already know.

Not anymore! This makes sense to me. Go back to ____ if you don't want to work.

What are you 2 babbling about? I know Americans who have left the country and few who are getting ready to leave.
I know a lot of Europeans, but not too many who are here to stay.
We are not better, but we just know more. What the hell do you all do at school over 6 hours a day? Can't ask you anything, because you wouldn't know it.
No medicaid in Europe you know. No kid is covered there.

I have a toddler and a baby and I'm interviewing for a job this week. I am really, really hoping I get the job. (I live in a military community where SAHMs are seen as a positive norm so I feel awkward expressing my excitement here.)

I've started telling them that. I just have no patience for it. Why are you here if America makes you miserable? Not to mention it's rude as hell to behave that way. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I live in Europe and am married to someone from one of the countries you name, and I observe an equal percentage of uneducated/uncultured Europeans as I knew in America. But there is a certain type of pretentious American who doesn't understand that Europe is huge and comprised of many cultures, but just reallyreallyreally had a lot of fun on her little vacations to touristy places and thinks that every "European" is just like the ones she met when she walked around the wealthy area of a major European capital. You think you sound sophisticated, PP, and maybe you do when you try to lord it over some of your friends, but to anyone who is actually European or lives in Europe, you sound like a moron. And really pretentious, and not very observant or bright. But I'm glad you enjoyed your little trips to European tourist destinations.

Most European countries have free or very low cost health care that covers every kid, and the standard is excellent.

I am close to breaking point as I have supported and looked after everyone else but forgotten about myself. I struggle everyday but nobody sees it.
