I know you probably don't want to admit you're a racist asshole, but racist assholes assume terrorists are Muslim, or that something is the cause of Muslims even though there's no evidence at all pointing to that theory. Let's look at the common thread among racist assholes. Connect the dots.

So you want to ignore all available evidence to the contrary? And do you understand the definition of racism?

What evidence? Do you know something that no state or military or aviation organization in the world is aware of? If you want to do something useful, please divulge your very secret information. Otherwise, better to say nothing and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

So please tell me where most airline hijackers come from. Stating this does not make you racist. Pretending like this doesn't exist and this isn't a favorite MO of these anarchists makes you an idiot. Obivously not all people from these nations would ever do such a thing.

Is your brain only programmed to pay attention to the past 13 years? Your historical ignorance is really sad. Short attention span, eh?

Can we please not have this thread devolve into speculation about where terrorists come from? I think the last airline hijacking attempt occurred during Sochi and the hijacker was Ukrainian.

My theory is that the pilot turned the plane around because of some malfunction, but was overcome and passed out or died, and the plane kept going in the new direction until it ran out of fuel and fell into the Indian Ocean, where it will be discovered someday lying on the ocean floor, a la the Titanic.

This is my theory too. a la Payne Stewart - rapid depressurization so everyone was unconscious.

It's been noted time and time again, that this isn't possible!!! The plane would have continued to send numerous signals as to it's location for hours.

Uh, the plane DID continue to send pings for hours. Signs do not point to a depressurization case. The changes in direction would indicate that at least one person was conscious and making decisions.

Africa would be my guess.

There have been explanations published stating why that wouldn't happen on a commercial airliner. There is more time on a commercial jet to get oxygen masks on.

But it HAS happened on commercial airlines as late as 2005 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helios_Airways_Flight_522

Umm. The poster did not say it could not happen on a 777. They said it could not happen on a commerical airplane. I was only addressing that.

The last known position of MH370 was at 1.21am at 35,000 feet roughly 90 miles off the east coast of Malaysia, as the Boeing 777 with 239 people on board made its way towards Vietnam, en route to Beijing.

If the unidentified aircraft picked up on the military radar reported by Reuters is indeed the missing jet, then data suggests the 777 veered dramatically and deliberately westwards, heading northeast of Indonesia's Aceh province towards a navigational waypoint used for carriers headed towards the Middle East.

From there, plot indications show the plane zigzagged towards the Thai island of Phuket and then, at 2.15am, continued on northwest route P628, which would lead it towards the Andaman Islands and perhaps onward to Europe. Malaysian military officials have previously confirmed that an aircraft that could be MH370 was last seen on military radar at 2.15am some 200 miles off Malaysia's west coast.

They never name the military radar's country. I bet it is India. They have a huge military operation in the Andaman Islands and their radar would have picked it up.

If it was India and they picked it up on radar, I have no doubt that India would have sent fighters to intercept the jet.

That's right. India has the capability to scramble jets and check it out. Now the question becomes once the Indians noticed it wasn't a Western airliner did THEY shoot it down because they might have thought it was hijacked? The Indians are smart enough not to shoot down a Delta or United plane but Malaysian Airlines...

Well, i think (the US anyways) does a lot befor they decide to shoot down a plane. They check to see if folks are in the cockpit, if there is a struggle, they try to signal the pilot, etc. I would like to think they did all that and determined something was wrong before shooting down. Over the ocean though, there is no reason to shoot down if it was just going to run out of fuel. I would really like to think if a gov shot down the plane that they would eventually admit it. It would be horrible but it has happened throughout history so it is not like it would destroy the government and I doubt malaysia would take india to war.

I don't think they shot it down. They maybe have watched it for a little bit, it was flying inside the commercial air area. But the US search asset switched to that area a few days ago. Bet they find something over the weekend. It takes time for the boats to get there.

Lots have been published about why that theory isn't a good one, so just google it for yourself.

They will take the pings of the automatic systems and the radar return and narrow down the search area. It just takes time for the ships to get out there.
