Anyone get telework approved at SEC?

Of course people are going to wolf down their food as quickly as possible at their keyboard.

But it’s not. You need 8.5 total regardless of what you do or don’t do at lunch.

If you end up getting in 15-20 min early do you just leave 15-20 min early or do you have to do the whole - earn 15 min of credit hours, use them same day? If it’s a half hr or more I’ll do the credit hour thing but for 0-25 min, are you free to just leave? Not to suggest this happens all the time but it does happen once or twice a week. I figure if they’re checking badge swipes it’s fine bc it’s always 8.5 hrs. If against work smart - the horror I had the audacity to arrive early.

For those of us who are NBU (so not free loaders), care to elaborate? Regardless of whether you were being serious or sarcastic.

Or if you don’t want to share (though as a region person I’m hoping you will), what is your personal reaction? Did you leave feeling like yeah I’m going to stick it out or hell no I’m doubling down on my job search?

I’m the pp. wasn’t being sarcastic. I left knowing that we are in good hands, and they’re doing everything they can. Not the right venue for me to specify everything he said. But I left relieved that we have this union.

I assume you’re being sarcastic. If you’re serious, you obviously haven’t kept up with recent events. Like, pretty much anything.

Did you leave with the sense we’ll get any flexibility back ever? You don’t have to specify. Do you have the impression he meets w PA or is it just silence from the 10th floor?

people in your group get into work at 5:30 am??

Or they take lunch at the end of the day, WHICH IS ALLOWED.

No it is not allowed - we already went over this extensively.

NP here. Yes, there are multiple folks in my group that do this.

So they wake up at 4:30am to go to work? That sounds hellish. I don’t think I got a JD to wake up at the same time I did in college when I worked at a bagel shop.

FWIW the one guy in my group who arrives at 530-6 - not in HQ - has insomnia. He’ll often tell us he was up at 330 unloading the dishwasher and then just killing time so he decided to roll into work. You don’t know what someone else’s life situation is - though I agree with you, it’s not what I’d want to do.

Well then don’t.
Different preferences work for different people.
Obviously.
