I think the father was molesting the daughter. The mother walked in on it, and wanted to strike him in the head but hit Jonbenet instead knocking her out. They both had a secret over each other at that point: father abusing the daughter, mother killing the daughter so they had to act fast and stage the "ransom note and kidnapping"

Burke was not involved.

Patsy tried to hit John, who was taller than her? over the head with a flashlight? And then she missed and instead hit jonbenet who was probably two feet shorter than John?

Even if they were both sitting or laying down, the order doesn’t make sense. Jonbenet’s shirt collar was first twisted around her neck while she was conscious, which is why she had some defense marks near her throat. Then she was hit over the head, knocked unconscious and 45 min- 2 hours elapsed while her brain bled. During that time, the paintbrush injuries were incurred, she was poked at with what seems like the ends of burkes electric train tracks, and eventually she was strangled to death by the ligature at which point her bladder let out on the carpet outside the wine cellar.

After her death, duct tape was applied to her mouth and loose string was put around her wrists to make it look like an abduction. Patsys jacket fibers were on the neck and hand ligatures along with the duct tape. Fibers were also found from a pair of cotton work gloves. Jonbenet was at some point wrapped in a blanket from the dryer.

None of the injuries seem consistent with what a capable adult would do. Patsys jacket fibers make it seem like she was the one who found jonbenet, tried to remove the neck ligature, realized she was deceased, and then proceeded to stage the abduction gently with duct tape and loose string around her hands. She would not have known that jonbenet had a skull fracture and would only have seen that she was strangled - and perhaps she assumed sexually assaulted as well if they had been dealing with inappropriate behavior with Burke already.

John strikes me as having been kind of aloof to the family in general. Patsy was overwhelmed at home trying to keep up appearances, raising kids, raising a beauty pageant queen, and dealing (or not dealing) with a son who was exhibiting signs of psychological issues.

The family doctor appointments or something or other implied JB had frequent yeast infections or rashes down there or some problems. That’s not normal for a 6 year old. Burke was 8-9 and at that age boys are not sexual.

There’s only one obvious culprit here

John purposely carried a dead JB , not in tears or beside himself in shock as a father that his daughter was just killed by some intruder in their own home, and he sabotaged the police crime scene to give reason for why his DNA would be on the garrot and sticker.

All of the evidence presented to a grand jury is one-sided. No defense is presented.

I couldn’t get past about the first 90 seconds of this insanity. Oh the misogyny - this guy’s theory is that Patsy was out of commission because of cancer treatment and so John needed a sexual surrogate, so he started sexually abusing his daughter. This was sexual play on the part of John that got out of hand.

Heed the message, ladies, you deny your husband sex, rather for chemotherapy or any other reason, and they will rape your toddler.

This is so ridiculous. It doesn’t align with any history for John. This kind of pedophilia that was described would not be something that just started in the last year or two when a husband is not able to have sex with his wife. This is the work of a deranged pedophile who has had a history of issues.

Acting as if John was just sexually frustrated so decided to become a sadistic pedophile… That is insane work.

Finally, a voice of reason!!!

Incest and pedophilia are not exactly the same monster. Incestuous fathers are the stranger danger misfit pedophiles in the park that obsess with children. Incest was more so the poor man’s mistress of convenience. He couldn’t afford to get a mistress, get someone pregnant, and abuse of other minors would cause jail time so he went in house where he pays the bills and runs the ship so nobody can say anything. It happened very much in the south though people don’t like to talk about it and among all other poor minorities even among preachers.

I would bet either John and Patsy had a creepy grandfather or father.

That’s “not normal”? Kids that age are still not night trained, don’t wipe well, have constipation issues, etc. It’s completely normal to have issues.

Anonymous wrote:Wow. Did any of you actually watch the cold case documentary? The parents and Burke did not do this. The case is bizarre but it’s not the parents. I feel like it’s eye opening in the same way as the Menendez case is now. Earlier opinions tainted by smearing and leaks intended to paint these folks as killers. Watch it and then follow up. John wasn’t paid for it, didn’t ask for edit of it and was very cooperative.
The experts didn’t all conclude it was family! Actually the best FBI profilers and most experienced investigators like Lou Smit and John Douglas concluded it’s an intruder. Hopefully more sophisticated DNA tests will be taken and some previously investigated suspects could be tied in with that to find out who did this.

Even if you believe an intruder did this, how do you explain the ransom note written on Patsy’s legal pad with her handwriting and speech?

What home intruder kills a little girl and then decides to hang around and write a ransom note before disappearing into the Christmas night?

Handwriting experts said she didn’t write the note so I can explain that one right there. Also, what do you mean her speech. The note is theatrical because the sicko is using his favorite crime movies as inspiration. He is fantasizing about being the big bad villain.

The intruder likely spent hours there before the Ramseys returned from the party. He picked up the pad, which is hers, and a pen, again hers, because she lives there! He is a sadistic killer, he wants to inflict more pain to John and have control and mess with them. He started the draft to both, but he really hates John more and has some beef there and wants to inflict the pain and sadism on him so he starts over with just him. Sort of the same way killers will call the victims family just to torture and further inflict pain. He already killed her but why not mess with John too and twist in the knife a little more to fulfill this sick fantasy. The writing is theatrical and taken largely from movies like Dirty Harry, Speed and Ransom. This person doesn’t care about the money-they are fulfilling their fantasy, which is sexual with Jon benet and personal against John, or perhaps what he stands for- a powerful man with money. This podcast is fascinating by real FBI profilers who are not hired or associated with the Ramsey and seem impartial to me. it is not intended to be salacious in nature. This explains in more detail about the note. The Consult.

I read recently that the DNA on the underwear, which some people have suggested was touch DNA from the manufacturer, was the same unknown male DNA under her fingernails and on the longjohns she was wearing. That doesn't seem to me as if it can just be explained away easily.

It wasn’t conclusive. It was so partial, that they could only see that one allele out of many (I think 12?) matched, and the others couldn’t be tested.

The autopsy performed on JB revealed that she was sexually assaulted at the time of her death. The autopsy also found evidence of sexual abuse (digital) in the days preceding her death and chronically in the months preceding it

Except JB wasn’t wiping herself. Her thing was asking adults to wipe her which was causing frustration at 6 along with the bed wetting. She was seen for vaginitis and chronic inflammation which is not normal to be seen for so often. She was taken to the pediatrician 27 times in 3 years for various issues largely related to urinary incontinence

What’s also interesting is John Ramsey always denies that Jb was sexually abused but at the same time says a pedophile killed her. I guess pedophiles don’t molest? He is only adamant about 2 facts about the case: 1.that she wasn’t getting molested. 2.that the garrot and strangulation came before the head blow.

This tells me she was getting molested and the head blow was before the garrot was made. The garrot looked like something someone in the Navy would be able to remember: John Ramsey did it

A panel of experts shown the autopsy.This panel consisted of:

"John McCann, MD - Clinical Professor of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, UC Davis, acknowledged to be the foremost expert on child sexual abuse in the country;
David Jones, MD - Professor of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics, UC Boulder;
Robert Kirschner, MD - University of Chicago Department of Pathology;
James Monteleone, MD - Professor of Pediatrics at St Louis University School of Medicine and Director of Child Protection at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital;
Ronald Wright, MD - former Medical Examiner, Cook County, Illinois; andVirginia Rau, MD - Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner.

They observed, among other chronic injuries, a hymen that had been eroded over time and a vaginal opening twice normal size for a six year old. All stated they observed "evidence of both acute injury and chronic sexual abuse". Dr Cyril Wecht, a forensic pathologist, in a separate assessment, concurred.

I could find only two medical experts who, in separate reviews of the evidence, had anything approaching dissenting opinions:

Dr Michael Doberson, Arapahoe County, Colorado coroner, said only he would need more information before coming to a conclusion.
Dr Richard Krugman, Dean of University of Colorado Health Services, has not denied evidence of prior sexual abuse, but said "Jonbenet was not a sexually abused child. I don't believe it's possible to tell whether any child is sexually abused on physical findings alone", to which Cyril Wecht responded "What is Krugman talking about?"

"JBR was taken to her pediatrician 27 times in 3 years. Five of those visits were for vaginitis, but Dr Beuf had never performed an internal exam. On 12/17/96 Patsy Ramsey called Dr Beuf's office three times between 5:00-6:00 PM. Eight days later, Jonbenet was dead. I do not believe an experienced mother of two would make three after hours calls in sixty minutes to her child's pediatrician for a routine cold or sore throat. I do believe it likely that JBR had yet another vaginal infection, and Patsy had finally become alarmed and was demanding answers - answers that could only be determined by a full pelvic exam, information Patsy would have shared with her husband. Dr Beuf was a mandated reporter, required by law to report any abnormal findings to Child Protective Services. JBR was not killed to prevent her tattling, but rather because when the family returned from Charlevoix and their cruise on the Big Red Boat, there was a pelvic exam in that child's future, the sexual abuse would be discovered and reported, and the perpetrator thereof would face public humiliation, loss of his company, his social standing, his family, and possibly his freedom. Sources are Schiller, Thomas, Kolar, The Jonbenet Ramsey Case Encyclopedia, acandyrose, and a book called "An Angel Betrayed".

Some pathologists agreed she was previously abused. I believe Burke killed her by accident. Perhaps John, Patsy staged the scene as sick as that sounds. They made sure to make it look like an intruder did it. Unless Burke was sexually abusing her, and they left the scene as they found her. Or moved her..... then wrote the silly ransom note making it look like an intruder broke in. If John did it then why would he leave the crime scene that way? Whatever happened it was total panic mode with John and Patsy.

No one. It was one of the three in the home, no doubt. An intruder doesn't kill someone leaving the body to write a ransom note. Clear evidence of staging, and deflecting the attention away from the family.

Well, the one that wrote the note in advance bc they planned on kidnapping her.

Put the note on the bottom of the stairs. Then went to her room to abduct her. On the way, maybe she started to scream or squirm or something, so they hit her. Maybe a little too hard. And she was unconscious. They are a pedo weirdo, so while she is dying, they continue to strangle her and they get their rocks off. Then they flee, without going back up to retrieve the note
