If this is the case, why would the Utah governor make a PUBLIC statement that the roommate was unaware and was "shocked". They could do exactly what you are detailing without making a public comment about it. In fact, they will look stupid if they later go, oh no, he knew all about it. I am a democrat and my boys (20s)are productive members of society.
