I'm not sure they're going to "cave". Trump is unpopular. The wall is unpopular. This shutdown while the GOP is still in power just highlights how out of control Trump is. I agree he is unpopular but Democrats don't want to hurt the fed gov employees. I am a democrat, I just forsee them striking a deal after the shutdown occurs to avoid "unpopularity." I also bet trump goes to Mar-a-lago regardless.
