Of course . Fanfictioning holiday schedules seems like a stretch, but it's a popular drama show about a family. Their mom married their dad's good friend after he died. Since he has kids too and his ex was friends with the mom it's not a stretch to wonder where his kids fit in and how the marriage may have affected them. It definitely hits home for those whose parents remarried someone with kids. Sometimes step-sibs get along as one big family and other times they have absolutely no relationship especially if they are older.

Set your DVR for longer and can you really not guess the gist of the scenes? I'll give you a hint, they involved the family trapped in the house, which was engulfed in flames.

Yeah, they were cute old people, but damn. Throw away the faulty Crock Pot. Don't give it to the young family down the street!

I must have missed the crock pot scene. When was that?

FFS, I missed the crock pot scene, I missed the smoke detector scene, I missed the scenes from next week. This thread is turning into a rehash of all the stuff people missed.

Why wasn't the dog barking?

Even without the smoke detector, it appeared the dog was sleeping in the kitchen or close to the kitchen. It should have started barking immediately and would have made Jack come downstairs to check on it.

Crock-pot needs to capitalize on this. Put out another tweet telling people if they are concerned with their old crock-pots to buy new, safer ones.

Came here to say this! I bet the dog wakes them up and then it friggen goes downhill from there.

Also, major PSA, I remember my dad always having me double confirm if I was staying away for the night or be sure to let him know if I came in unexpectedly when I'd planned to be away. Reason, he learned of a dad who didn't know his daughter was out for the night and tried to rescue her in a fire. I was just reminded of this because of Kevin being out for the night. The scene of that note for Kevin going up in flames was yet another gut punch.
