That could hurt in the election with Catholics in PA and in the Main Line suburbs. ACB is going to be much more difficult for Democrats to try to destroy with personal attacks. Focus on her limited experience as a judge (only around 3 years) and see if you can pick off a few Republican senators reluctant to cast a vote to so close to an election.

This is funny- yes, be careful to hide your anti Catholic bigotry. You are so subtle, we Catholics have no idea! No clue!

It’s not that she’s a practicing Catholic, it’s just her inexperience!

Remind which party’s nominee is a practicing catholic?

I guess they hide their Catholic bigotry behind...checks notes... a Catholic POTUS nominee.

Lagoa is on record saying she’d follow the precedent of Roe v Wade so she is likely out

Imagine if Trump actually nominated a Jew to the court.

Lmao - most Catholics prefer a non- Catholic to a willful apostate like Joe Biden. Maybe be can intern at the local abortion clinic after he loses the race.

And has he ever been attacked by Republicans for his religious beliefs? Check your notes if you need to but you are not going to find anything.

The anti-religious attacks on ACB have already begun and she has not even been nominated yet.

I hope they embarrass her. She take her Christian authoritarian version of the law and fk right off. This is America.

You know that once roe is struck down, all your brightest and best will flee your backwards shtholes for states that allow abortion and other progressive policies right? Blue states pay your bills and no one is going to want to get stuck in a backwards Christian ethnostate. All you’re doing is sowing your own demise. Young people won’t stand for your ignorance. They already overwhelmingily reject you. Get with the times. Thanks.

You could argue that saying he’s not really Catholic is an attack on Biden’s religious beliefs, so.... yeah he has.

It is a fact that the GOP has no scruples, about anything, anymore. They attack, attack, attack because they have no beliefs except money and hating women, minorities, and people of different religions.

The very first response here was that he was an “apostate,” so yes, he is attacked by republicans for his religious beliefs.

Okay .... breathe, put the coffee down. Take your meds and go get some sleep. Feel better.

Can any lawyer confirm this? That means Kelly will serve a term longer than 6 years. Will McConnell still be in charge of swearing in new senators during lame duck? What if he delays it, then McSally will still be a senator until January?

Not a lawyer but whoever wins this special Senate election - Kelly or McSally - will have to run again in two years. This is not the regular six-year Senate election. It’s McCain’s seat; he was re-elected in 2016 so the regular election is 2022. McCain died, the governor appointed Kyl who then decided not to finish out the rest of the term, so then the governor appointed McSally after McSally lost to Sinema in the race for Flake’s seat.
