Nah. It’s resident Russian trolls who toss inflammatory comments into threads to keep the arguing going. |
Yes, principals have primary choice for hiring an AP. But central office can also move around APs or give a school a “placement” for training or to move them away from some issue. |
At our school they started calling our assistant school administrator an assistant principal, but no one had left, so there was no new AP opening. Did they do away with the ASA position in the county? Does every AP have to do the AP 1 and AP 2 training? In the past, our ASAs have had to leave after a certain amount of time. I guess this means the current one can stay indefinitely. |
makes sense |
Why are you against due process? |
Didn’t this get publicly exposed in June? Haven’t they gathered enough data by now to make that call? The people in central office don’t have to prove or disprove every last detail if there’s even one fireable offense. As a teacher, it really bothers me that people stay on the payroll who should be fired when we don’t have enough supplies for our classrooms. |
Why do want this man fired so badly. What will it do for your life? If he is wrongfully terminated he can sue MCPS. Why do you people want to see this man fired while you keep your jobs and feed your children? |
If he have fired how will the affect your lives? He isn’t making policies, he isn’t cutting your paycheck, he isn’t in and out of your homes, your family and kids aren’t suffering from this man having a job. You are some evil people. |
Thanks Larry Nasser |
Simple: Actions have consequences, or at least they do in the real world! |
So obviously you think sexual harassment is okay and that organizations should be allowed to just do whatever they want and not expect ethical behavior. You're gross. |
No you’re gross for spending your time focusing on a man losing his job instead of taking care of your own family. Maybe your family wouldn’t have so many problems if you took this amount of effort and put it into your family. |
No problems here. Now MCPS can clean house. |
I would like to live in a community where this behavior is not accepted as normal, and I'd like to be able to send my child to the public schools I pay for secure in the knowledge that behavior like this will not be accepted as normal in those schools or by anyone responsible for leading them. A few different paths could give me those experiences. Beidleman could not have done this stuff in the first place, or, if as some here has said, the man has an alcohol problem, he could render a sincere and believable apology for having done these things and make clear that he understands these actions have no place in schools. But when he is left to his own devices he doesn't seem to want to go down those paths. Instead, it seems like if he keeps his job, there's a pretty good chance he'll end up on his own path to a job in the Central Office influencing things I don't want him anywhere near. That's why I want him fired, since you asked. |
I feel that there have to be consequences. Right now, schools are a mess because students rarely receive any consequences. Read through this board and you will hear over and over again the frustration with the current policies. If this behavior is deemed acceptable (through him staying employed and no accountability for central office staff), then what does that tell all of the teachers who already have little confidence in McKnight and team? |
