Am I the only one in the world that hates Breaking Bad?

All these are character shows with anti-heroes. I can’t get enough of them and I’m looking for a recommendation. I can’t get into GOT or Dexter or Walking Dead so something else??

Ozark.

Woman too and loved BB and Ozark (lot of parallels).

Per your request for shows similar - Give Peaky Blinders a chance (took me a few episodes).

Yes to all the above. Just finished Start Up on Netflix. The American one not the Korean one. Really enjoyed it. Takes place in Miami. Deep character development from totally different worlds. Not really much actual tech stuff, humans trying to make it. Also Martin Freeman is always a draw for me.

I’m a woman and loved that show. Complex human and family relationships and a fascinating glimpse of descent into evil that can happen to the average person.

Same here. I was obsessed with this show and still love discussing it with other fans.

That wasn’t really his “decision.” As you said, he was forced to do it.

And women. I loved it, my mom and all my girlfriends as well.

Who has time to waste on things they don’t enjoy?

GOT is basically a history of the British Empire. I kid you not! Everything he writes about is directly British history.

OMG. And this is (one reason) I stopped watching GoT.

+1
I loved BB and Ozark. Another show not quite as good but still entertaining is The Riches with Minnie Driver and Eddie Izard playing Irish Travelers who steal a wealthy family’s identity and life. I love shows about people living double lives (The Americans too).

This is why I never watch shows a second time. I absolutely loved BB and don’t want to ruin it by watching it again.

Anonymous wrote:Nope. Couldn't get past the second episode. I can't stand watching people do stupid or incredibly upsetting things that will not end well. Why would I want to watch that? It was so disgusting just to be disgusting. Added nothing to the show. That's lazy writing IMHO.

Other than the bathtub scene, what was disgusting about it? I thought it was interesting that there was very little sex and no gore (except that bathtub!). Its magic was the storytelling and writing.

Speak for yourself, Sally.

I’m a woman and loved both - they are far better than most of the other fluff on TV these days.

I would rather be locked in a solitary confinement cell than to be made to watch Desperate Housewives type soap opera dramas, or any of the reality TV drivel that so many gals are enthralled by - Bachelor? Bachelorette? Real Housewives? BARF!

So maybe it’s not a gender thing, but a maturity/intellect thing.

+100
Add Bridgerton to that list. And Outlander.
