| Just my opinion, but if SYC is not sharing MLSNext as part of the alliance, whether or not it was contemplated in the deal, they aren't operating in good faith. It will doom the alliance to failure before too long. It is not worth it to McLean just for a few girls and B team boys. An alliance with BRYC for ECNL would have been smarter, had they known this was going to be the case. |
|
1 why would current mls next players want to take a step down to ecnl
2 why would mclean want their best ecnl players to leave their ecnl teams and play mls next |
Where are the fees posted for SYC? |
If you are on ecnl team you can be a future player for mls next and play hs soccer etc |
| So to be clear, there is no longer an ECNL McLean team. It is now rebranded as Virginia Union? Second-tier McLean team will be Green and in NCSL? |
Either way, we'll take your $$$. |
|
Yes, they are using MYS's ECNL license/reg for VA Union. |
|
The best SYC players will roster with MYS (in addition to rostering with MLS Next) making the original MYS ECNL teams stronger and more competitive and given the best MLS Next players more minutes and diversity of games.
The best MYS players will practice with MLS next to supplement their ECNL training--making them better (they can't join MLS Next due to ECNL rules--but they can practice and scrimmage). Is it perfect, no. But it should drive some good end results and gives each club opportunities for their best players |
| So do MLS Next clubs get to play against the MLS acadmies or is it just a branding? Where does the MLS part come in? |
I thought the regulations stated they couldn’t play high school soccer? Where does it state the player can’t be rostered on another club team? |
Isn’t the cap 13 guest players per team? |
Green will be in CCL1 Many age groups will also have EDP teams |
Yes they play mls academies. |
