| I love how she swears in the video, Real quality catch you picked there Cornell. |
| Just think, OP and PPs, without this tik-tok and test optional to blame for your kid not getting into the schools you feel entitled to, you'd have to find something else! It's really a blessing/scape-goat in disguise. |
My kid does an international sport as Team USA and went in with 1530 SAT. Rejected from four ivies. Who knows what it takes? |
You know your kid probably swears, just not in front of you, right? This thread is bizarre. Don't you remember how much the SAT sucked? Don't you remember being miserable on a Saturday morning as you had to take the damn thing? Feeling like no matter how good a student you were, Monday-Friday, how you did on this one thing was more important? Thank goodness that isn't the case anymore. |
Most elite schools IN THE WORLD?? Not quite. |
DP. Wow, the TA sounds like a really great guy. Not snobby or elitist in the slightest. Same with your own kids.
|
We complain the SAT is biased and we complain when it is no used too. |
I doubt there is much overlap between those two groups |
Particularly when you have no response on the merits. |
Right. Let’s not do anything hard or stressful. I’m sure my kid swears. I also know they would be smart enough not to be doing this and posting it online. It is 100% trashy. |
Oh no! On one Saturday morning? Awful. Thank goodness that our "elite" scholars will never, ever have to be miserable on a Saturday morning, ever again. After graduating from their Ivy, they will go on to only feel how good they are (Monday-Friday, of course!) and never do anything that "sucks." |
Lol, what the heck about your post warrants a meritorious response? OK, if you insist, I will respond exactly in kind: “no they won’t”. |
Miserable on a Saturday morning? I remember feeling lucky that I had a chance to prove that I was more qualified than all the legacies, rich kids, recruited athletes, and faculty children at my fancy prep school. Not all of us are too dumb to get a good score. |
+1. Cornell should be ranked below 30 by US news. |
