There’s a long discussion of the bill here: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/950297.page

Smorgasbord of ways to make it more difficult and to give the GOP more control over the process. Elections shouldn’t be partisan.

Where in the bill does the word GOP or Republican party appear?

It doesn't. But Jim Crow laws didn't specify harming black people either. It just did.

Same thing here.

I hope this POS loses everything in the 2022 Gubernatorial election.

I'm too stupid to wear a mask, but trust me I'm not racist!

And you probably think that, after losing 2 big time elections, GA GOP rushed thru drastic changes to the GA election laws, in order to help increase turnout among Democrats and AAs. BTW. I have a "wonderful and terrific" used car to sell you for an "amazing" price.

Haven’t read the whole thread but MLB pulled the game from Ga due to pressure from sponsors.

The reality is most companies don’t want to be seen as supporting voter suppression and other discrimination laws. They are in the business of selling products and it’s mostly people on the left and center buying them.

Would be more meaningful if these companies stopped donating to crazy GOP candidates.

Yet, this law does NOTHING to suppress the vote. Nor discriminate.
They pulled the game because of pressure from the left. And, encouragement from Biden and Obama just pushed it right along.
Georgia can thank them.

The law does aim to suppress the vote. If corporate sponsors are on the political spectrum, they are most definitely on the right. So really the pressure came from elitists on the right who don’t want lose money.

It is absolutely designed to suppress the vote. It’s because they don’t wanna lose Warnock’s seat in one year.

I hope Stacey brings fourfold what she brought before.

Yes I hear companies around the nation bow to our will upon command. We are that powerful. You are weak. Trump wants to cancel MLB now but his followers can’t do it because they are weak.

Already in the works.

New York has even more restrictive voting laws. When is MLB moving their headquarters? Will NY based corporations protest voter suppression in NY?
