Georgia Senate voting to end absentee balloting

Assholes. The only reason for this is to depress voter turnout.

They can’t win without cheating.

This will not be the only rule nor the only state that will be doing this. The backlash will be brutal if we don’t pay attention.

The Fulton County elections director was also fired.

Tyranny of the minority at play. It is the ONLY way the GOP can "win"

Too bad a party of people with such conviction can't develop winning arguments as to why people should vote for them, so they have to resort to this.

CocaCola and other big Georgia companies should basically tell the GOP that they won't fund them anymore if they continue down this road.

what has the georgia governor said about the bill?

Someone needs to explain how restricting absentee voting to those who actually qualify constitutes "cheating."

This is exactly how it was in VA for years.

And, the Dem chair voted to fire him. There were lots of problems in Fulton County--aside from the counting after telling poll watchers to leave. No good answer ever given for that except that the Sec State told them to start counting again. Sure looked like they didn't do anything until everyone left the room.

What happens if there's a weather emergency, or a natural disaster? People with no transportation or who live far out are just sh1t out of luck, I guess. Power to the people.

The GOP is so morally evil I can't stand it

How is this not age discrimination?

What makes American citizens who are Georgia residents unqualified? Why do you need to be over the age of 75, have a doctor's note, or not local in order to vote by mail? Why wouldn't you want to encourage as many Georgians as possible to vote by making it as easy as possible?

That doesn't even take into account that many countries outside the U.S. allow citizens to vote ONLINE. Georgia required an application submission by mail and then an actual ballot to be returned by specific dates.
