My politics contradict my sexual preferences

How I want the world to become friendly and free. People should do what they want if it does not hurt anyone. But, for example, if you prefer black hookup sites, you can easily access them. I use some of them. I enjoy the time we spend with people together. I got many friends due to those platforms. I friendly recommend you to take a look at them.

I'd like to find a man who is progressive but not into astrology, numerology, polyamory, tattoos, energy healing, "vibrating", "manifesting" and veganism.

I did, he's actually a scientist. We have no tattoos, no piercings other than the ears, we believe in God, and are married and cis.

We are personally conservative but liberal politically. Most of my friends are. Being "liberal" doesn't mean you are "woo" and get tatted up.

My dh and I, and most of our friends, are scientists, mathematicians, statisticians, programmers, librarians, historians, doctors, etc... None of us have tats (or visible tats with regular clothes on), none of us have purple hair, none of us are poly.

We are mostly cis, and gay and lesbian couples, personally very conservative with our behavior, accepting of others sexuality, and are super left liberal. Or at least the conservatives have moved so far to the right that we are now far to the left.

It sound like you aren't having around with educated people pp, most of whom are now considered "liberal."

Oh, and my dh and his friends are very traditionally "masculine" except dh cooks. I take care of the house and he is currently rebuilding our potch. I wear skirts and makeup and have long hair. He has short hair, a beard, and a phd.

Not sure where people get these weird ideas about liberals, unless they just watch too much Fox News. Y'all need to get out more.

Most of the men I meet are educated but not as educated as I am. Maybe that matters. I don't know. I'm an atheist though, and it's important to me that anyone I become involved with is not religious. He doesn't need to be an atheist. I'm also an urbanite and that matters.
I haven't tried to date in the past year but prior to that I found it difficult to meet anyone who was progressive (I'm pretty much a socialist) but not woo and annoying af.

I haven't read the responses, but it's the DC area. Men are more effeminate and women are less feminine here. Lots of gender-neutral looking straight couples here. It's the only area I've ever been to where even many wealthy people don't seem to care at all about sex appeal in a mate.

I live in SF and there are plenty of men like you’re describing. They eat healthier here (generalization, I know), so there are definitely more plant based meals, but lots of guys aren’t full vegan. I’m shocked that this is relatively easy to find in the hippie/liberal/gay/vegan capitol of the world, but you’re having a hard time with it in the dmv. I guess that’s on me for assuming.

Liberal guy here. When I was younger, I grew up thinking I had to treat the woman right, blah, blah, blah. Little did I know that it was turning them off. It took me many years to realize the truth about what most women wanted. Men are being raised not to be so open-minded and caring and blah, blah, blah that they are ignoring the biological truth about what actually works in opposite-sex sexual relationships.
