Rich folk want there teachers vaccinated first lol. You have been in school the whole time. Let’s get the kids back who really need to go. All these woke private schools are all talk. We support the poor and minorities just not in my backyard, not in my school, and we need to have everything perfect for biff and St. Albans. |
There isn't one. |
My understanding is there is not a high demand for live school from 'the poor' based on survey responses. The highest demand is in neighborhoods that have had lower rates, which happen to be richer. Just sayin' |
Just to correct a misconception. My kids are ‘back in school’ at their private which means, given the hybrid nature and closures after breaks etc, they have been in school for 10 days since last February. A number of teachers zoom into the classrooms due to age or health-related issues. Please don’t think that most private schools are offering a ‘normal’ school experience. |
This. There is currently a limited supply and limited means of distribution. The priority should be getting kids into schools who need it most. That is the DCPS plan. Private school families have resources these kids do not. If you are at the back of the vaccine line, you should count your blessings. I am. |
We are rich we go first! |
There is no misconception. School right now is not normal. But your kids have had more normalcy than most. |
Dcps should of course get priority. Wake up. The poor need to be back in school first. How un woke of the rich liberals. |
DC Health had a call yesterday with school administrators. OP is correct as is the poster who stated that priority goes to those teaching in person as of 2/1. So those of you hoping this will get Larla back to school sooner will be disappointed. The whole roll out is taking much longer because DC Isn’t getting much vaccine but is vaccinating MD and VA residents who work here. I would have prioritized day care workers and preschool teachers, regardless of setting, first as those little ones need to be in person, but I’m not the mayor so, we just wait. |
this is the opposite lesson you should be taking from this debacle ... |
The teachers aren’t rich (at least most of them). This was from a teacher, as@hole. |
Same with our private in MD. |
Uh, the rich liberals have been told that it is racist to advocate for poor black and brown children to be back and school because poor black and brown families don't want their children back in school. So apparently you are a racist. |
Not really, privates have been saying a return to school is safe due to superior facilities, smaller classes, better behavior. If that’s true, then theirs is no need to prioritize private school teachers based on job |
Where is this? 10 days since last Feb?! That's crazy for a private! |
