You would think it is.

.. I mean the fake marriage, not the actual marriage marriage..

I always root for the foreigners. I would do the same thing were I them. The Americans are all so stupid. That girl in Ethiopia is the worst I think though.

Same. My parents were (legal) immigrants who came to the US totally separately. But damn, the Americans are so incredibly stupid and gullible - I don't feel sorry for them at all. Team foreigner all the way.

His parents are very intrusive and his Mom seems a little too attached to him but Julia is not likable.

I didn't think it was that unreasonable to expect Julia to help with the animals.

I thought it was ridiculous that she said she can't wake up in the morning... even though she was waking up in the morning every day when Brandon brought her tea. I think the parents are kind of crazy and definitely pushy and unlikeable, but I cannot disagree that it's their house, their rules. Julia's problem is Brandon, not the parents.

NP. I think it's fair that she help out on the farm, but allowing them to stay in the same room would be a fair compromise. The parents left condoms, for christ's sake - they know the two are going to have sex. I don't know if that bit is artificially inflated for the show dramatics, but to me expecting her to help on the farm is reasonable, but she's not an indentured servant. Let her have some dominion over who/where she sleeps.

I totally disagree about the farm. I think it's reasonable to expect her to do some chores inside of the house, but she shouldn't be free, forced farm labor for Brandon's parents. They are really taking advantage of her and the situation. Brandon is such a wet blanket.

Brandon had no business bringing that girl to his parents' home. I wonder how he could pass the financial test for the K1 visa if he can't afford to live on his own. As to Julia, if Brandon's parents are paying for her room and board, I guess she does need to pitch in with the chores unless she has her own means. They both need to grow up or live by his parents' rules until they move out. The mom shouldn't have given in on the separate rooms issue. It's either on principle or not; you don't give in because Brandon says he's going to move. He should move out and see what it's like in the real world.

It’s despicable how the Americans act so interested in culture and art when they’re overseas but have no interest once they’re back home. According to Natalya, Mike showed interest in culture and supposedly going to museums while in Europe; but in the US he’s totally content with doing nothing after getting home and enjoying his beer. The same is for Jovi and Yara who got together because of their love of travel. Yara probably wanted to get away from Ukrainians abs Russian men as they are known for drinking a lot, but her US man does not seem to be much different. These men should be honest and not portray themselves in a different way just to appeal to these women.

I don't think its they are portraying themselves differently, its because they are on vacation when they are visiting the other countries. How is Mike supposed to take Natalie to museums when he has to work full time? I think he said his commute is 3 hours to the city. Probably doesn't want to do that on the weekends too. These women and men who come over here should plan on being pretty bored until they can get married and get work visas. I think it ridiculous how much they complain. Except for Julia. She shouldn't have to work on the farm, but she could clean and organize their bedrooms better.

Does anyone have an update on Steven and Olga. I felt terrible for her. He was verbally and emotionally abusive to her. I think I read they split up, so I wonder how she's doing and where she lives. He seems like the type to try to rip their child away from his mom.

This makes zero sense.

They are not together but coparent their son. Steven has become a certified yoga teacher.

I am watching the end of Season 5 of Happily Ever After and I am getting seriously creeped out by sociopath Larissa from Brazil. She is the one that was with Colt, they got married, she got three domestic violence charges, they divorced, and now she's got some other guy and she just asked him to shell out for her plastic surgery!

She seriously creeps me out. I think she'd drug that dude and sell his liver if she could make a buck.

Paul will always have a hard time getting a decent job because of his criminal background. They are both so desperate.

They’ve been on and off but last I heard they were together. She is doing porn now.

Julia and Brandon are awesome. Young love should be that oblivious.

Omg that's terrible if true. I always thought she was better off going back to Brazil because she had her family there to give the support she needed.

Embarrassed to admit it, but I’ve watched every season from the start. I’m glad TLC has gotten back to casting more couples who have met in real life before beginning the process. Before this one, the last few series were totally overrun by catfishing and mail order scenarios, which was extra depressing and got old fast. I like that many of the couples featured currently are truly trying to make it work: Brandon and Julia; Yara and Jovi; even Angela and Michael, who truly seem to be in love Last season or two have had some great unions too: Anna and Mursel; Robert and Anny (expecting their second baby); Kenneth and Armando (sweetest couple ever). This is what we want to see, not the crazy catfishing and bad acting (looking at you crazy eyed Natalie)

They're in Brazil and now have another son. And, yes, it's true that they're both doing porn.
