WTF with the crickets in the kitchen? The kitchen!!!!! |
| My favorite couple was Anna and Mursel from Turkey. They were the bee keepers. They were very genuine! |
Yes. How is anyone surprised by this? |
I don't think this is very realistic. And it's not easy to get these visas/citizenship anyway. |
Some are, but most aren’t. Like someone else said, many have few options. With limited prospects economically and socially, dating a middle class American is a step toward a better future. Also, things we may consider sex work here are not always viewed as such in their culture. Plus, there’s clumsy translations. As a teen, I was convinced that my cousin’s new wife was a stripper. She was really just a go go dancer. Not the same thing. But she faced a lot of coolness within the family and ostracism in the neighborhood over nothing. |
Paul and Karine are having a second kid and they are in Brazil. She claimed he hit and abused her but apparently they are back together. Karine had a supportive family, but she was absolutely dirt poor and I think she felt like she had no other options especially after getting pregnant twice. I have no idea what happened with Geoffrey and Varya. They're both psychos though. He also has a past with domestic violence. |
They're still beekeeping and have a honey business. |
The American women on the show often are in real need of therapy and have self esteem issues. They are also almost all single moms who drag their poor kids into their sh*tshow dating lives. |
Geoffrey and Varya are still reportedly together and she has been in the US for the past several months during quarantine according to some trashy website I follow that is posted video and audio of them together. |
They're both pretty terrible. I feel sorry for his kids. Actually, I feel sorry for most of the kids on this show. |
I was about to tell you something totally different. They contacted a contestant who had been in a show in our country (Think Big Brother) to come and be a fiancee. She is cute, she is already well-off and doesn't even need for visa for US as she lives in EU. Not sure if she accepted the invitation. Told everybody that she is tempted as she likes such shows. Nothing to do with her being a prostitute or a need to come to US. Rather, loved the shows and being on the shows. |
Is it the woman from France who is on this season's 90-Day Fiance? |
| Karine is pregnant again? I felt so bad for her. They are so poor and I think (like many foreigners on the show) that they they the Americans have more money than they do. Paul will always have a hard time getting a decent job because of his criminal background. They are both so desperate. |
In one of the first seasons there was a Mormon missionary in his late twenties or so who met a 15 year old Brazilian girl and then married her when she turned 18. SHe came from a village that didn't even have running water and it did seem like she became a Mormon and married him in order to have basic human comforts like running water. It bothered me that everyone in his 'church' described him as so incredibly virtuous for marrying the little foreign girl without actually talking about the fact that he met her when she was 15. I had a colleague in the foreign service who did something similar. He met his wife when he was 40 and she was 15 in some village in China. And we were all expected to have them over for dinner and behave like it was normal. It was creepy AF. |
Yeah and his arrest was for arson which is probably one of the worst things to have on your record for employment. |
