Julia does not seem like Brandon's type at all. Yara and Jovi were better matched before they had a baby.

I really like Natalie (think she has thyroid eye's) but her husband and his mother treat her shabbily.

I do wonder if the women had a realistic idea of what life would be like for them here.

i am watching Season 9 and this show does not disappoint.

We've got Philip and Shaya, where he's financially successful, but he's tricking her upon her arrival to the US, pretending he's driving a van and living in an old house. She's a bit of a prima donna, but tricking her seems really manipulative.

Kara and Guillermo - seem the most likely to have a genuine relationship, except he has an expired passport and is Venezuelan living in the Dominican Republic, so....she's from Charlottesville!

Jibri and Leona - he's some musician type from South Dakota and she's from Serbia and loves to shop.

Yve and Mohammed - she's 48, teaches yoga and wellness, and has a special needs son that seems to need a lot of daily care. Mohammed is 25 and from Egypt, lifts weights. Seems like the most obvious train wreck, except...

Emily and Kobe - dated a little while in China and she got pregnant. He's from Cameroon and hasn't ever seen the baby and hasn't seen her in two years. They'll all be living with her parents - whee.

This thread spurred me to Google Geoffrey and Varya, and he's been sentenced to 18 YEARS in jail with no parole for assault on his ex/estranged wife. Damn, that's crazy! Varya seems committed to him, but who knows.
