False dichotomy. Do both.

Also, covid relief isn’t outrage of the day stuff: it’s our nations most urgent crisis.

It's been a crisis for almost a year and we've failed miserably. And the whole Trump Administration was already one crisis after another. After a while it becomes the new normal. That's where I am. Maybe Biden can fix it, but he isn't a miracle worker. It can get worse, too. Buckle up if you haven't already. Steal those potatoes if you need to. This is actually much worse than you realize.

He isn't a miracle worker? He hasn't even had a fight yet.

If he can't do this, why did we vote for him? The NUMBER ONE priority for Democrats in the 2020 election was Covid-19 and Economic Relief.

Biden should wake up sweating about this every morning.

I don't know, why DID you vote for him? I voted for him because I thought he was the better choice. I didn't vote for him because I thought he would make it all better right away or expend all his political capital before he even got elected.

One thing I like about Biden is that he seems to have suffered deeply enough that he doesn't wake up sweating anymore. It's not just how much he has suffered, but how he overcame it to become stronger. I can see that in him. He won't be jumping to your tune, so you'll just have to trust him.

Trust him - of course. But dude we're up against some massive deadlines. Congress is out of session on the 21st for nearly a month through Inauguration. If he's got a rabbit to pull out of his hat, the time is now.

And don't tell me he isn't a miracle worker...he stated that he wanted this done quickly. Well...?

Biden urges pandemic relief compromise, testing his faith in bipartisanship

“If we don’t act now, the future will be very bleak,” Biden said, speaking to reporters in Wilmington, Del. “Americans need help and they need it now, and they’ll need more to come early next year. But I must tell you, I am encouraged by the bipartisan efforts in the Senate around a $900-billion package of relief.”

Trust him means you believe he is doing everything he can do, whether you see it or not. "He is not a miracle worker" means we are deep, deep trouble even if this COVID package gets through and he needs to be focused on what he will do about all of that in the future.

Rabbit out of a hat? I doubt he has any rabbits prior to January 20. Even then, maybe not. Sorry. It sucks to live in a nation in decline.

I voted for him because he’s a moderate and was the only one in the party with the power to make Bernie, Warren, AOC, and others on the left behave themselves. Another 4 years of Trump would have swung the Dems farther to the left. Biden saved the party from the wackos. He definitely has his work cut out for him but he’s assembling a good team. He knows this town and how it gets done in government. He will not govern by tweet. The adults are in charge.

Yep. Amazing ability to walk and chew gum at the same time.

I'm not saying its not McConnell's fault. I'm saying if you know you're an adult paired with a schizophrenic toddler you tie your hand to theirs until the work is done then you deep-six them to whoever they are the problem for full-time.

Get it done.

My reasoning exactly. Trump was the best thing that happened for the Left. Movements many of us barely knew existed have been so energized and legitimized over the past 4 years. Without Trump, I think there is no way what the Falls Church School Board did yesterday could have happened (taking Thomas Jefferson off of a school name) in moderate mainstream Fairfax County. I can't even imaging how four more years of Trump would have fueled the Left. I think there are many moderate Democrats who either found common cause with the Left or refrained from criticizing different Left movements due to Trump.

Get the damn guns! That should be a huge priority for the first hundred days. Get the guns before these unhinged trumpturds start a civil war over an election.

Why does no one ask Mitch why he refuses to pass the Bill?

Because Mitch doesn't CARE about people. He cares about corporations. The Dems have said their number one priority is the people - act like it. Cut a deal.

Good I am so sick of people like. Just go join the republicans party. It seems you are more a fit there vs Dems.

Hey, Trump is still the President and he has time to tweet about the election he lost, but it's all Joe Biden's fault. Go to hell already, just don't take the rest of us with you.

Toddler-in-chief is toddler-in-chief. No one depends on him, not even the Republicans (see the NDAA fiasco which should have been smooth sailing). No one is saying its Biden's fault - we just want him to push Pelosi to offer a Covid Relief ONLY bill in the next week before its too late.

Why do democrats always use that stupid phrase - "walk and chew gum at the same time"?

Complicated things require focus.

I hope he's calling McConnell and Pelosi as well
