Moderate Dem here - can we prioritize?

It’s weird and disconnected from the reality that we’re all facing. Just my take but every time I hear him or Kamala talk right now it’s just not resonating.

Play harder? He won! He hasn’t even been sworn in yet. How exactly should/can he play harder?

You clearly have no idea how things work. Bye now.

+1. All of his most recent Tweets are written for third grade girls. Too touchy-feely and patronizing. Kind of makes me gag. I doubt he’s writing them, but he needs something more substantive.

Apparently you don’t know how things are done since Biden is not “playing harder” and he’s been “playing” much longer than you. But yea keep uselessly attacking him on an anonymous board if that makes you feel fulfilled.

Can we get the basics done first? Relief aid for Americans is and should be the priority. Killing off the Covid-19 pandemic + distributing 330 million vaccine doses should be the priority.

Not this.

Yo...why don’t you go talk to the Republicans. YOu realize it’s them holding up covid relief, not the dems, right? Stop blaming Dems ... I’m so sick of this shit where dems get blamed bc they are the only grown ups in the room.

Its not that he lacks substance. I understand that he’s projecting “normal” to keep people calm but right now it’s not enough. I would like to see him get angry. It doesn’t move the ball forward to stay calm and wait right now. Does he have any opinion on the stalled covid relief bill? Anything to say today about that at all? If so, no one is repeating it. That’s a problem.

It’s Christmas. Deadly pandemic. Mothers are stealing basic staples to feed their kids in winter. Unemployment expires on 12/26. Evictions protections expire 12/31. Small business loans expire 12/31. Vaccine approvals potentially today and distribution funds expire 12/31. Hospitals and states are overwhelmed plus out of aid funds which expire 12/31.

The federal government SHUTS DOWN on 12/18.

But still nothing has been done. Forgive me if I don’t see the competency to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Forget walking and chewing gum, it’s like we are barely breathing.

Substantive tweets? Twitter is FOR third graders because you can’t be substantive on it. Trump showed this 20 times a day.

So blame those who are in the positions to do something about it now. You want Biden to set up some sort of alternative government to suit your alternative reality?

So you just basically want to go back to your privileged way of life?

Tell me. Please. What’s privileged about wanting to feed people? Families are so desperate now, and food banks are running on empty, that they’re stealing potatoes.

I want Biden to put that ‘I’ll reach out across the aisle’ magic to use and get a deal done before Christmas.

I want him to be publicly photographed in a room with McConnell and Pelosi together with a deal hammered out the same day.

I want a bipartisan proposal brought up in both legislatures with Biden pushing, shoving and flagging votes every minute.

Don’t talk to me about Trump either - he’s a foolish toddler who will sign anything put in front of him as long as he can claim credit.

DP. The way the issue is being framed is disingenuous. The reason we can't get "the basics" done isn't because of inaction on the part of Democrats, or that John Kerry - a private citizen who currently holds no office - is filming a climate change clip for Twitter (which, it should be stated, is directly related to the job for which he has been designated!!).

It's because Mitch McConnell is holding up bills because they don't provide liability protection for negligent employers, and because he doesn't want to bring to vote a bill that his entire caucus doesn't support, and because he'd rather reshape the judiciary with activist judges by jamming through as many as he can.

They’re on life support these days. Not even getting out of bed.

Apparently the Senate can’t even function enough to pass the House’s Continuing Resolution from yesterday so the government will actually shut down tomorrow.
