GC wasn't canceled simply b/c someone didn't notify the county. The county said it was b/c they received complaints. The school isn't that dense to not follow the rules on something this major. I wouldn't be surprised if Prep was told to cancel it, they didn't, and will pay a fine, which won't be reported in local media. All of the schools here had more than 50 people in attendance at any one time. Come on man.

No they didn't. Others have not followed the rules and got away with it... now you know how it feels. |
No. The county is not policing every single gathering, they only are following up on complaints. If GC had followed the rules and there was a complaint it would not have been cancelled. |
| They aren't going to flout county rules on something as important as a graduation. come on man. |
| GC isn’t all that conservative. There are much more conservative schools than GC. |
I think it is more likely about the worship of money. |
| Good. Saving lives is more important than a meaningless ceremony. The kids don't care, only the entitled moms. |
Just stop. Protestants are out and about and my child had been invited to two Barmitzvahs. |
Obviously it's not all conservative but there is a very vocal conservative racist faction there. |
| Some independent schools held more scaled down graduation ceremonies in early June, when it was still legal in counties such as Montgomery and Fairfax. Many schools chose to postpone their ceremonies until late summer, hoping that the pandemic might have been under control by then. And here we are. |
Shut up troll. |
| SJC has their graduation ceremonies on their IG page. Definitely less than 50 people and so socially distanced with masks. |
St John's graduation hasn't happened yet, It's this afternoon at 3:00pm. |
Oh wait - I take that back. I see what they've done. One of the graduations is at 3:00pm today. They are having several graduations throughout a two day period. Must be exhausting for the faculty and staff! |
They have been happening. |
