I think part of it is a “god is more important than earthly rules or disease” thing. But maybe also social signaling about what team you are on.

I've also noticed this - in general with the religious schools. I wonder if its because they are run by the archdiocese and since they want churches open, they'd want schools open too.

Oh my way to call out a single religious group. Could you do this with Jewish or Muslim groups?

And by the way, I know many Catholics who follow every rule and many prominent Catholics on social media who push all the rules.

You know many? or most?

You know it is just many... not most.

Also, it's not just Catholics... it's all Christians.

If Muslims or Jewish people are congregating the way Catholics are ... yes you can call them out.

Is there a cricket tournament that was packed?

You picked the most socially left priest in the Catholic church when it comes to LGBT issues.... but

Tweet at him and ask him what he thinks of Ken Cuccinelli a prominent Jesuit educated (Gonzaga) full on white supremacist... and he will never say anything negative. He will block you if you post a Jesuit school don't anything bad. He is a terrible hypocrite talking out both sides of his mouth.

(Popping in from recents) I have no dog in this fight but it certainly seems like good counsel is being singled out if the other privates were allowed to have graduations.

Actually, correction, he did finally come out and speak against this white supremacist.

To be fair, the Mayor of NYC was singling out Jewish services. Mayor received a lot of backlash, as he should.

GC didn’t break it up into groups of 50 like the other larger schools. Someone “tipped off” the county. The rest is history. Sad for the kids for sure.

Sad for the kids, for sure, but because the school didn't follow proper protocol. They should be sad that the school put them in the position to begin with. People not following common sense guidelines are why we are in the mess we are in right now, and will continue to be in.

Holy Cross held their graduation yesterday (the day after GC was told they couldn't)--you can watch their video on Facebook. More than 50 people, and those graduates do not look 6' apart. From what I heard, GC had taken many precautions, and there was some division by last name.

That’s because HC is off the radar.

GC Followed All Rules people. They did nothing wrong. They did what HC and Prep did. please........

Precovid you mean.

But it sounds like they didn't contact the health department. I have no idea if Prep and HC did contact them or just got lucky, but at our NOVA school we were able to have one in early June because we worked with the health department as we were making the plans. Hopefully CG will be able to work with the health department now and get something else scheduled for the kids.

If they didn’t follow the rules, they should be fined. The video is out there.

Exactly... but the white conservative GC moms just want to blame Erlich (who I think is useless), BLM, liberals, the left (which I am not)... they are pathetic.
