lol, that's code for "please, FCV players, for the love of god, don't leave us"

I don't get it. They have no choice but to leave - unless FCV flips back to ECNL.

Can FCV girls do EDP? Will Arlington girls do EDP like boys or stay CCL?

What would happen to the red team?

EDP could create a top league for boys and girls who are ex-DA and don't choose to go ECNL or can't get in. Would be good from a travel standpoint.

I was curious about that move too, especially now that GDA may not be a thing.

I'm an Arlington parent. DD had a team Zoom call with her team last night. Coach basically said that they didn't get ECNL (blocked by a neighboring club) but they were working on other options.
I think they may have realized that DA was shaky but never thought it would be gone so quickly.

Coach scheduled another call tonight. I guess to discuss their plan? I have no idea.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

The DA haven’t officially announced anything, what is going on

If Arlington boys teams are reluctant to join ECNL then that might be limiting for their girls to join ECNL since it is all in.

Metro United will be done either way.

Get ready for a new ex-DA league in some form or another that is not ECNL.

All those ECNL folks ought to be a bit fearful. Even if you don't like these teams or think the DA is filled with arrogant people, was a flawed concept, etc., there are some good players. I can think of DA goalkeepers, for instance, who absolutely could displace their ECNL counterparts at certain age groups.

If you are not a current ECNL starter the thought of ECNL not accepting DA clubs should terrify you.

from what I’ve seen, even many of the starters should be worried.

yah, good luck with your virtual tryouts.

Good lord you are new here, aren’t you? There are many who don’t need tryouts.

Where’s the undeserved arrogance now?

I sincerely hope that my sophomore GDA player gets some contact from the colleges she’s interested in as soon as June 15 rolls around, because that would help save a lot of stress about what choice to make next year.

^ it will be a long time until this starts up.

Everyone will need tryouts. Players are going to return very different.

If you want the politics to continue—than yes keep the same teams even when other players have progressed well beyond current players.

Your DD is not getting an offer in June. Sorry.

The stress is going to rise for all.

News flash: the politics will continue and have already begun. Top DA players have already been contacted. This isn’t a vacuum chamber. ECNL coaches know the DA kids, some from long before they started in DA.
