You've been listening to Henny Penny I see. Very well. There will probably be an RL spot or two open for you when you're ready to commit. It's ugly, but that is how it will work. This is youth soccer of course. I expect that the forecast for sports will become clear by June and pending that, there may be some contingent payment plans offered.

The forecast for youth sports as it pertains to a National level league when States are at different stages will not become clear in June.

There will be no soccer in the fall for a National league that requires showcases. Sorry bud.

Your FOMO is showing. All the parents of mid-level travel players are bringing the shade today.

Ummm ok but there won’t be any organized soccer this fall at any level.

Best case scenario we end up playing EDP for a year and maybe ECNL the year after, worst case we join DPL which is a start up that will inevitably fail.

ECNL MA stays as is at 13 with FCV, Arl, and MU left out. exDA clubs scramble to retain players to play in either EDP or some form of DPL east coast extension. Top 2/3rds of exGDA players opt to test the waters at ECNL tryouts. Plenty of politicking and back channel discussions occur. 8-12 players across the 3 exDA clubs are slam dunks to get onto an ECNL roster without a good look especially where there are coaching changes. ECNL clubs make advance offers in May to attempt to secure these players, as well as their current top players. exDA clubs make advance offers as well in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

Tryouts begin in July, and even then are limited. Of ~60 exDA players avbl (MU, FCV, Arl), exDA clubs retain ~20, leaving ~40 distributed between VDA, BRYC, McLean, Loudoun, Bethesda. Varies across ages, but ECNL rosters take on average of 8-10 exDA players each, Bethesda takes on less due to proximity. Rosters grow to 23-24, bottom ~6-8 players drop down to RL teams. Each ECNL team fields RL team to retain as many players as possible.

There will be no fall soccer.

Not in mid-Atlantic, but our GDA club is already discussing refunds to pissed off parents that have been kept in the dark that there will be no soccer in September, let alone tryouts.

Give me a break, get a real job! Most of parents posting on n this and other threads are non FCV parents. I bet FCV parents are not that obsessed as parents from other clubs. What is the purpose here, burning the extra time you have in this quarantine? Why can’t you just good to get the news from FCV next big step?
