Given that FCV lost their regional ECNL teams for the spring, I doubt regular ECNL is going to welcome them in for next year.
If Arlington boys teams are reluctant to join ECNL then that might be limiting for their girls to join ECNL since it is all in. Metro United will be done either way. Get ready for a new ex-DA league in some form or another that is not ECNL. |
Couldn’t MU play in the ex DA league? |
| ^^^If they are invited! |
All those ECNL folks ought to be a bit fearful. Even if you don't like these teams or think the DA is filled with arrogant people, was a flawed concept, etc., there are some good players. I can think of DA goalkeepers, for instance, who absolutely could displace their ECNL counterparts at certain age groups. |
If you are not a current ECNL starter the thought of ECNL not accepting DA clubs should terrify you. |
And for goalkeepers, if you ARE a current ECNL starter, the thought of ECNL not accepting DA clubs should terrify you. |
Well at least the "think of the children" crowd has come around to accepting this is good for competition. |
Let’s the fcv tears start flowing. |

Any FCV:Arlington/Metro parents who have heard from
their TD. |
What "HAD" Bobby said? who is this Bon Qui Qui?? |
Of course FCV has not. They wont hear until: 1. Christian is securely relocated to a cushy new job somewhere. 2. It's too late for any player to do anything about their next year of soccer. Hopefully all the ECNL folks out there remember all the terrible comments about Bobby P and resist any attempt to add him to their staff. |
yah, good luck with your virtual tryouts. |
I cannot ever recall this much radio silence from the FCV coaches and parents that regularly post on this site. Normally they are all over the first mention of FCV is any post. |
lol, that's code for "please, FCV players, for the love of god, don't leave us" |
I don't get it. They have no choice but to leave - unless FCV flips back to ECNL. |
