Wow “Virgin River” is so bad! Like 1980’s Lifetime bad

I agree that Hope's appearance changed between season 1 and 2. Her hair is much longer and culture and her face looked fuller.I wondered if she had recently had a baby in real life.

The dr is the same actor in both Hart of Dixie and Virgin River and plays the same role. They couldn’t find anyone else?

I loved season 1 (in the way I love Hallmark Christmas movies), but season 2 is very slow. The tortured chemistry between Jack and Mel just isn’t believable this time around, and it just feels kind of stale and recycled. The writing isn’t as good (again, with the expectation that this is “fluff”).

I’m watching before bed, and find myself distracted on my phone without caring if I’m missing dialogue, whereas with season 1, I was totally absorbed.

Jack is so hot that there’s no way she could resist him IRL, ha.

I noticed that too - the exact same character, really. He’s good at it, though.

I enjoyed Hart of Dixie but was distracted by the lead’s (can’t remember her name but she played Dr. Hart) occasionally terrible and awkward acting.

The sex scenes are really stiff, like she is revolted. It's called ACTING sweetheart.

The books were way better. I thought season 1 was okay, but season 2 is driving me crazy.

Some of us are totally fine with that.

I love Hallmark movies and I love mindless entertainment, but this is so boring. I watched season 1 but not going to waste my time on season 2.

Neither actress had a baby recently. Mel had her second child in 2017.

I'm on season 1 episode six. Some of the actors in this show are actually pretty good in other things, which speaks to how bad the writing is. It really is Lifetime movie of the week, Hallmark channel bad. If you don't believe me, Google Virgin River cast of characters and you will see how the next several episodes unfold and what sort of character or lack there of arc develops. If you have nothing else to watch, you might as well binge Korba Kai. If put on the spot I would have to give this series negative three stars, which if you're keeping score is three stars less than no stars. - Dr. Jon

That was my first thought when I watched it.i still kept watching tho. It's bad, but easy to have on in the background while cooking, sorting laundry etc.
