Why can't they get all three?

Not to be mean but had Mel put on a lot of weight between season 5 and 6? She looks really different and also looks much older somehow. She used to look much younger than Jack but now she looks older.

Older than he does? Jack looks 50 (and is supposed to be, his divorce was “30 years ago”, and the actor is 50). Mel doesn’t look 50. 40, maybe.

But yes, the actress has to put on weight since the beginning of the show, for sure!

I hate watch the show and just wrapped up the season. Charmaine was always annoying and was pregnant for four seasons!! Which means all the crazy drama basically took place over 9 months. But I love the scenery and it’s nice to watch something sweet sometimes

They did some odd costume choices with really large pants. She looks great in her running clothes.

That said, I agree with pp who likes Muriel. I wouldn't have thought it based on her early appearances in the series, but she's great.

What a cliff hanger!

The writing has gotten better, with some real thoughtful plot lines (Huntington’s, etc). It’s pretty sappy and idyllic but very sweet and comforting, with actors who give the material their all. Mel and Jack are way overboard cheesy and constantly getting it on - it gets the tiniest bit old, haha - but it’s fun. Great season!

Brie’s acting was very good this season - and I liked how they wove in more serious themes like the impact of trauma.

I skipped over the Brie/Brady story line the first time around. But their wedding scene makes me want to go back and watch their arc.

I was shocked at Mike's response to her response to the proposal. How do you think he knew?

Thank you spoiler.

Sorry but I thought the whole thread was full of spoilers.

At Charmaine‘s house I think Jack opens the door to find Charmaine tied up and the babies are gone. Calvin took them.

Would he bother to send Mel a fake text though? Or force Charmaine to do it at gunpoint? And how would that man manage two babies without Charmaine anyway?

That’s a good theory or Calvin is dead and Charmaine and the babies are gone.

Why was Preacher's girlfriend a bridesmaid? Her bridesmaids were her sister, her sister-in-law and some random woman she's known for a few weeks?

Right! Also did Mel not have any other friends outside of her new friends in Virgin River? I thought that was really odd.

Jack should have worn the suit.

I think Charmaine took off with the twins to get away from Calvin.

I need to get back into the books.

I agree. The suit looked os much better. Also I think Jack needs a haircut. The past two seasons he has looked way too shaggy and not in a hot way.

I liked that personally. Not everyone has many friends. In fact, statistically speaking many people have no friends, or just one friend. I notice when people are not portrayed like that as a life of the party, big girls group person. It also suits her character imo.
