I live in Montgomery County and see on a daily basis what illegal immigration has done to my previously solid Middle class neighborhood. Easy to advocate for illegal immigration when you only benefit from it (cheap labor for your landscaping and child care and housecleaning needs). Harder when it affects your kids’ schools.

Decriminalization of refugee mother, family and kids who are coming out of desperation. There has to be a process where they are allowed case by case and those who don’t qualify are sent back. THERE IS NO CRIMINALIZATION OF Families.

The European Union has no borders. They freely take in millions of people who are fleeing poverty and war. As rich former colonizers, we all have an obligation to lift up those who need our help. We owe it to them for all the violence and exploitation we inflicted upon them.

They do not "freely take in millions of people." There were millions of EU residents who were very much against the enormous numbers of migrants taken in by leaders such as Angela Merkel. Only in retrospect did EU leadership realize and admit their mistake.
