I live in Montgomery County and see on a daily basis what illegal immigration has done to my previously solid Middle class neighborhood. Easy to advocate for illegal immigration when you only benefit from it (cheap labor for your landscaping and child care and housecleaning needs). Harder when it affects your kids’ schools.

The problem is that illegal immigration doesn’t negatively affect the wealthy Democrat voters. They opt for private schools. Or they live in neighborhoods where they don’t see the 4 families illegally renting a Singe Family Home. And so, they continue to support the idea of illegal immigration. They only see their own benefits.

I would like to stop corporate welfare and needless wars, and give this money to better our infrastructure, schools, and institutions that help the poor. Even if that happens, the money is not unlimited and nothing is free. The rich will find a way not to pay taxes. Jeff Bezos didn’t pay any. And even now the legal immigrants are mostly from third world India and China and they are doctors, engineers and entrepreneurs. BS. The rich got so much more tax cuts. The middle class tax cuts was eaten away by cuts in social, education and healthcare access benefits. And the tax cuts increased our debt to 100% of GDP. You know what that means ? In another decade our interest on debt payment will be so much that we won’t have much money left for sS, Medicare, infrastructure, etc.
