Border security is also a national security issue.

Exactly. Angel Moms will tell you about their child getting slaughtered by an illegal killer.

Why isn't the press showing the photos of their dead children?

Because they don't care as much about dead AMERICAN children.

Apparently.

+1

It really does seem that way, doesn’t it.

Why has this particular photo been plastered all over the media? Nonstop?

I keep thinking of the pictures of the beheaded children in Syria. Why didn't that pierce the hearts and souls of others asking why can't we take these MFers out?

It benefits the countries they migrate too as they pay taxes and their children pay into social programs and keep them solvent. Likewise it provides justice against colonizers who exploited the people and land which can never be forgiven.

Nations are just 20th century history and belong in the past. We are one people, one race, the Human race and open borders will help make that a reality.

Can you tell me what country has open borders? Which countries exemplify your statement?

The European Union has no borders. They freely take in millions of people who are fleeing poverty and war. As rich former colonizers, we all have an obligation to lift up those who need our help. We owe it to them for all the violence and exploitation we inflicted upon them.

The debate has gone from whether or not insurance should be purchased over state lines to opening the borders at warp speed.

Wild.

Haha. Far better response to this than mine.

No kidding. I hope the dems return to sanity at some point. Most of the policies they are pushing are downright bat$hit crazy. It's like the Twilight Zone.

OP, do you have walls and doors on your home? Do you ever lock your doors?

High on the feeling I get from making the world a better place.

Okay that made me spit Diet Coke out my nose! LOL

Except that people do really feel this way.

Beat me to it. I would assume anyone advocating for open borders has:

- No locks on their doors
- No fence around their yard
- No password on their wifi (it's the owners' fault if it slows down!)
- No issues with strangers camping in their yard or sleeping on their couch.
- No issues with people picking their flowers, eating vegetables in their garden, etc.

This is the problem with NIMBYism. Concepts like open borders sound great until you deal with the pragmatic realities. The EU has open borders within, but absolutely does not have open borders with the rest of the world.

This. There is a trade-off, in terms of both what's both fiscally and politically possible. It is no coincidence that the world's successful social democracies are racially and nationally homogeneous.

This is not to say that a racially, ethnically diverse America should give up on a stronger safety net. It's just harder to achieve politically when human nature tends to divide people into us and them.

Who else wants open borders? Op could be a county club republican, but they don’t speak of it openly. Only liberals speak proudly of wanting to abolish ICE and open our borders. Also: name another country that has open borders.

Could be a MAGA trolling.

“The abolition of borders is a basic socialist principle, but the Left has shied from claiming it as a modern policy for strategic reasons — the fear that large increases in migration flow will provoke a nativist backlash. While it might have worked in previous eras to support immigrant rights while also agreeing to strict limits on immigrant flows, the political economy of contemporary capitalism makes this combination impossible today. On the other hand, a call for open borders based on appeals to morality and liberal values will not attract workers motivated by economic concerns. This essay shows the possibility of a strategy calling for open borders and immigrant rights based on workers’ material interests, not just moral pleas.”

The article is up for examination, not the intent of the op.

BS. No DEMOCRAT BELIEVES IN OPEN BORDER. This is just another scare mongering by the fraud party of trickle down economics. The fraud party doesn’t offer anything for its voters but only tax cuts for the rich. So they offer their voters demagoguery about open border lie.

The social media and anonymous blogs give an easy platform to spout hatred and troll.

No wonder you guys are easily taken in by cult 45 conman. If you fall for a simple MAGA troll you have no hope.

Agree with this, minus the Canadian part. I want Medicare-for-all and we can’t do that with open borders.
