The VA Election site is not working. Grrrr.
https://results.elections.virginia.gov/vaelections/2019%20November%20General/Site/GeneralAssembly.html |
Well if you are my district (Favola and Murphy) I’m not concerned. |
are you a Democrat? |
| State results in already show house and senate have turned blue. |
Yeah this is a HUGE deal and there are still people in here bitching about One Fairfax. |
| So amazing to live in a progressive, true blue Commonwealth. The Virginia Way is over. A great day for tenants rights, consumer rights, gay rights, choice, racial justice, and so much more. So long, moderate losers!! |
No, I'm not registered as anything |
Virginia doesn’t have party registration. |

Well this thread was buried or I would have put it here. So sorry to open a new thread. It looks like Democrats now control all the government of Virginia.
It looks as though Democrats will win control of the General Assembly. Senate 23-18 and House of Delegates 52-46. Virginia may finally be able to pass the ERA! https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/11/05/us/...irginia-general-elections.html |
| This state has been trending progressive for awhile. Gerrymandering held it up. S’long GOP. |
| This Marylander says: Good going, Virginians! So happy to see this. |
Another Marylander who heartily agrees. For once I am happy to see you all in the left lane. |

Among the flipped seats from R to D:
Shelly Simonds, whose race in HD-94 (Newport News) last time was a tie resulting in the drawing from the bowl Martha Mugler in HD-91 (Hampton) John Bell in SD-13 (you’ve seen enough ads to know this is Loudoun/Prince William) Josh Cole in HD-28 (Fredericksburgish east of 95) Clint Jenkins in HD-76 (Suffolk) Ghazala Hashmi in SD-10 (suburbs west of Richmond) |
This is the best part about the state election. Hope there is a lot of pressure to end gerrymandering. |
