Loudoun definitely up top along with Arlington (don't let losses in top tournament brackets fool you). LMVSC is actually decent. Also VSA -- their 08 team played up 07 in many recent tournaments over the past 18 months.

I think the PWSI coach is one of the Directors' at HP Elite if I am not mistaken?

PWSI coach owns HP Elite. His now retired father is “HP.” He is QP.

After reading this list I just stopped payment to DD’s current club and I just signed her up for chess club.

We are going by 'gotsoccer' rankings for 10 year olds? Really?

That tells me they are in a lot of tournaments---and for many they have a big player pool they capitalize on.

It really tells me nothing about the coaches or how they develop players for the long haul.

In a year when PWSI best players combine with VSA best players they will quickly move to #1. Especially if Quan continues to coach these girls.

the fact that two lists come to different conclusions proves that there is nothing definitive and that ranking 10/11 year old girls is a crap shoot. For tourney brackets and placement going forward the only list that matters is GotSoccer.

Youth Soccer Rankings is excellent but is not really "sanctioned" and is intended more for predictive purposes. For example:

If Richmond Strikers were to play SYA the goal differential should be 2 in favor of Richmond. 27.92 points vs 25.80 points.

The algorithms are more for handicapping than a true ranking. A game between Richmond and Arlington is pretty much to close to call and a tie is not an unreasonable outcome, Richmond 27.92 points to Arlington 27.31 points.

The same goes for a game between Loudoun Red and PWSI.

So when you look at McLean Green at 26.2 points, even though they are in "8th" they are still a virtual neck and neck with PWSI or Loudoun Red.
