Maybe. It still does not explain away the overall pattern of behavior Mark Judge put in his book, reflected by the year book, and other witnesses who have come forward. Folks have indicated that they think Ford is a political operative, that this is part of a conspiracy. That theory is weakened as more and more people come forward echoing similar stories about Kavanaugh.

If an accuser can be a bribed, political operative, why couldn't a man or men coming forward to claim responsibility also be a bribed political operative?

First we were told Ford is a liar and who wait 40 years to report an assault? Now you're willing to believe she's telling the truth about an experience she had, it just wasn't Kavanaugh who did it?

There are many post where people said maybe it happened, but she had the wrong guy. Why is that not a posibility?

I said, "maybe". So it is a possibility. Still does not explain his self-proclaimed choir boy image vs. what others have stated and what we have in writing.

As we go into the hearing today remember that the GOP believe all men’s denial as truth and all women’s accusations as lies. The GOP is dragging these women through the mud instead appointing someone to investigate.

Grassley's explanation above about why the FBI isn't doing another investigation make perfect sense. I wonder why this has not been laid out more openly for those of us who weren't old enough to follow/remember the Clarence Thomas hearing.

Please read the explanation of why the FBI was not asked to reinvestigate. And then know this: The Dems believe all women's accusations as truth, therefore all mens' denials as lies.

The Rhode Island and Colorado anonymous allegations were thrown in to discredit the actual allegations on the table. I still don't know what to make of the Avenetti client at the moment. But certainly Ford and likely the Yale ones seem valid to me.

This thread is indicative of why women do not come forward. Why risk the character attacks in a he said she said to tell the world about the assaults I’ve seen by partners of major dc law firms who have done inappropriate things towards me or reporting what I saw at prep or Landon parties in the 2000s.

Since when FBI were given an authority to investigate sexual crimes? It is jurisdiction of the local police and should be referred to them.

Different jurisdiction. If asked by local LE, FBI will support/assist an investigation by MoCo police but jurisdiction lies with MoCo. There’s no statute of limitations so Ford is free to file a report and get the ball rolling.

Exactly!! Instead of investigating the incident, they investigate the accuser to discredit them.
