The FBI can and has done background investigations before. New information has been provided about this candidate, so an investigation is warranted. Why is this so hard? You would only reject the idea of an investigation if you have an agenda. |
Folks, occasionally I have to get up from the computer. Unlike you who appear to never be away. I removed the post as soon as I saw it. These threads are long enough without you clogging it further with you whining. If you keep this sort of thing up, don’t bother asking why you have been blocked. |
...WHEN CREDIBLE information comes forward. That has not yet happened. |
At least since Anita Hill. |
Just stop. A letter is not the same as sworn statement! It's just a letter. There is no legal jeopardy for lying in a letter. |
Lest you forget... Anita Hill was a federal employee making a complaint against another federal employee. And, they looked into it as part of the background investigation that was ongoing BEFORE the confirmation hearings took place. |
By the same one or two Trump supporters who apparently have nothing to do in life but incessantly post the same Fox talking points. Jeff should just cut them off (I am not saying all conservative posters, I think all of us can identify the one or two true trolls). |
Trump upon seeing GOP’s woman prosecutor: what senator is that?? |
Senator Hatch Office ? Verified account @senorrinhatch Following Following @senorrinhatch More Additionally, every letter/statement/interview made to @SenJudiciary carries a legal consequence for not telling the truth, just like with sworn testimony. (18 USC 1001) Letters like Mark Judge’s fulfill same need as sworn testimony or an FBI interview |
I, too, don’t understand why Mark Judge isn’t subpoenaed.
Someone around page 215 of thread 3 said that it’s insane to think that Dr. Ford would a) make this up b) wait 35 years c) name her attempted rapist’s best friend as being a witness. I mean if she were lying, she’d be galactically stupid. |
Women NEVER lie. Once you accept this you will be able to understand what will happen today |
This is what I believe also will end up happening. |
Lol. How many clarifying questions can you ask a letter? How often has the Senate followed up on punishments for those who have lied to the Senate in a letter? |
Just too late for this. She probably thinks she is telling the truth. But memories change over time. |
