Nice try honey.

My DH has no idea how much I weighed on our wedding day, or today, after ten years and two kids. He sure as hell does not know what a tankini is, and he would never use the word "cute" to describe an article of clothing.

PP, take your experience for what it is but don't assign it as fact to others. This is a husband, me, who knows what my wife weighed at marriage and knew she weighed even less 25 years later. Oh, and she gave birth to, and raised as a SAHM, three fantastic children during that time. She had a great figure when we married and I think an even better one on our 25th.

Good for you! It's not that rare, but it's nice that you appreciate it. Cheers!

I am the husband who used the phrase tankini. I know what they are bc our daughters wear them and we have had discussions about them.

I know what my wife's weight is and what it was bc we discuss it. I just lost 15 lbs so it's been a recent topic of conversation.

As to why I prefer it, my wife is very athletic/petite and as a result is rather flat chested. A tankini I think actually makes her look more attractive than a bikini top with nothing there.

Hell no. And even if I didn't know the exact, or within 5lbs, number I still know her 'size'. Haven't lost the brain cells, or photos, to not know she is smaller now than when we wed. Same for her, she knows I have gained and since I have shared the numbers, she knows how much. Which btw, is less than it had gotten to and something she asked me to do. Was I offended? Not a bit. So I worked on it and lost weight and while I am still 15lbs heavier than when we married I have maintained the loss, current weight, since.

Haters gonna hate.

Did he roll his eyes at your response to his question 'why' or because he didn't like the suit?

Just wondering why DH attempted to mock me.

Good grief, you are married to this man, go talk to him and ask him.

I hope you don't tell her that.

Are there any husbands who still find their wife attractive even if she isn't skinnier than when they got married? Jeez.

Yep. My first, which I described earlier, lost weight. My current is beautiful and sexy as hell and she has added to her curves over the years.

Tell him from me he's an idiot!
And you rock those bikini, OP.

I have a petite frame and have never found a one-piece that truly fits, so belly or no, I wear my bikinis!

I have that shape and I'll let you in on a little secret: the best swimsuit is a bikini with padding. They sell them at Victoria's Secret. Tankinis are fugly.
