I do! She's a little bigger after 20 years, but more ass, more boobs. Mmmm.

You would have to ask your DH about the negativity. We can only just guess and could totally be wrong. But my guess, based on my personality, is if my DH modeled a speedo and had our teenage kids give their thumbs up approval (which I know sounds weird reversing the gender), I would wonder if he is having a mid-life crisis. So for the woman is it about proving "hey I still got it" and the admiration of others like "that's right beyatches, I can rock the bikini at 45" versus it being hey "I'm flaunting my sexuality for the benefit of driving my spouse wild" like when I wear a sexy dress and heels when we go out together.

If it was for the latter, the only person that needed a show was DH, and it would have been part of a private performance where he darned well would have been motivated to show approval. So when he sees the bikini, he has positive memory association and would be encouraging me to wear it more!!!

Oh and on the tankini debate, my DH knows what a tankini is and has strong feelings. He's prefers one piece or bikini, not the neither fish nor fowl options, to him it's like skorts that look like a skirt in the front and shorts in the back - ummm just no.

I would expect teen daughters to be harsh critics, with eye rolls and "Oh Mom" from them. So if they approved I think the bikinis must look pretty good.

I know what my wife's weight is and what it was bc we discuss it. I just lost 15 lbs so it's been a recent topic of conversation.

As to why I prefer it, my wife is very athletic/petite and as a result is rather flat chested. A tankini I think actually makes her look more attractive than a bikini top with nothing there.

I hope you don't tell her that.

I have that shape and I'll let you in on a little secret: the best swimsuit is a bikini with padding. They sell them at Victoria's Secret. Tankinis are fugly.
