We all age and unlovely things happen to our bodies. That is true for everyone. Marry someone you like, that you want to be around and who likes you back - looks are the icing on the cake.

NP here. Stop policing people's interests. I'm interested in people, relationships, psychology...especially when it goes against social norms. You aren't, and that's fine, but it doesn't make you morally superior.

She likely was slim when they met. But pregnancy, age, hormonal fluctuations and metabolic issues have made her heavier than she used to be. Obviously they stick together because their relationship works for them and they have a genuine love for each other.

That's not obvious at all. It's far more likely that she's down on herself, therefore won't put out, therefore he seeks sex elsewhere, but he's sticking it out for the kids. She probably even posts on DCUM about how her DH loves her anyway, mmm-hmm.

This post makes me sad. Thank god we were not at the pool today or I would be worrying that you were writing about my family. You know what, OP? My DH fell in love with me and married me when I was fat. I later lost a ton of weight and kept it off for years and years. But then after having kids and working full time and going through some really tough issues, I gained a bunch of weight, even more than I weighed prior to my weight loss.

My DH hasn't stopped loving me for a second, through this entire ordeal, years and years together, ups and downs and in-betweens. I feel really sorry for you that you can't wrap your brain around that.

+1 I have a friend who is a very good looking fitness trainer who exclusively dares fate women. Not chubby slightly overweight women but morbidly obese women. It's what he likes. Who cares?

That' concerning there is a huge difference between, bigger, fat and morbidly obese. That a fitness trainer seeks out people he knows to be deathly unhealthy is sick it's the same as if he were seeking out anorexics. Nothing to applaud.

No just happens to be one of his jobs. He's also an animator. Not a fetish jusy his preference the relationships run there course. The last relationship ended after 3 yrs.

And she was slim and quite beautiful when they met. Apparently Pierce loved her on the inside too and didn't just fall in love with her pretty packaging, and didn't expect her to stay 25 forever. I'm the overweight frumpy woman with a hot DH. I've never been well put together, not big into fashion and have no idea what to do with any makeup other than eyeliner. I am a good person, I treat other people well, I am hilarious and fun to be around. I've never asked why my DH stays with me. I guess he loves me the way I am. Been together almost 20 years and I think some people would consider us an odd couple by looks alone.
