Of course it works for you. It's starvation. |
|
Get off your high horse. Don't think it's a good idea despite the evidence? Then don't do it. |
What evidence besides the people Mommyho "invented" this crazy diet? Something tells me this hasn't been vetted by any peer reviewed medical journal. B |
People who not sure why autocorrect added a mommy. |
Correct, disordered eating is not good advice for someone who is trying to lose weight. |
| Ideal protein diet. Most effect diet ever (for me). Google it. |
NP here who also has no problems whatsoever with fasted cardio. No dizziness, no problem. And I climb about 150 flights of stairs in 30 min. I cannot, however, fast on the days when I lift heavy!!
|
What do you eat the day after you lift? You can't recover and build muscle on 500 calories. |
| New poster. I actually asked my endocrinologist about intermittent fasting and he said he thought it was promising and safe if done correctly. He said it works for some people, and by "works," he meant that it not only helps some people get their weight under control but also can be a sustainable lifestyle for them. YMMV. |
| I wasn't going to post until I saw people bashing intermittent fasting. It changed my mothers life. She started intermittent fasting 2 years ago and along with losing 20 pounds slowly, she has been able to go off of her cholesterol medication and she is no longer pre diabetic. She fasts until about 3-4 pm on weekdays and then eats a normal dinner and maybe a healthy snack before bed. She eats normal on weekends. She is 60 years old and NOTHING worked for her before she found intermittent fasting. She says it just feels natural and she has more energy than ever. I also have been intermittent fasting for the last year and have lost 10 pounds. It is the easiest weight I have ever lost. |
"Something tells me?" Is that how you formulate all your arguments? |
Put down the doritos. Not shoving food in your gullet every 2 hours won't kill you. As for peer reviewed medical journals, you obviously don't even have the slightest clue how to do any research. http://www.jnutbio.com/article/S0955-2863(04)00261-X/abstract?cc=y= http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/pros.21136/abstract;jsessionid=5BECF68F5382FA7BE5E8FDC21D674658.f03t04 http://circ.ahajournals.org/content/112/20/3115.short http://www.nature.com/ijo/journal/v35/n5/abs/ijo2010171a.html |
None of this relate to her mans eating 500 calories a day. |
