I wish this were true but I know a few people who will not only be offended but will lecture you about wishing them a Merry Christmas. I unfortunately know from first hand experience. These people are completely uptight and the types that will find offense with most anything. |
I think Jesus would say calm down already and don't say it with hate.
Jesus was about love and peace, not agendas and hostility. Remember what Jesus said about not praying in public because it's for the Glory of Man and not of God? Same thing here. |
I will say -
??????? ?? ???? Krisamasa k? badh?'? Will you be offended, OP? |

Exactly, to pick this topic as the one to get uppity about is a little strange. If you are saying merry christmas to these types of people out of spite, knowing how they feel about it, then IMO you are just as bad as they are (not to mention completely negating the meaning of christmas). Make better friends, and if they are not your friends than F* em. |
Fuck yeah!
I wished everyone a happy Diwali yesterday. I don't care who knows it and didn't wish it back. I'm tired of the war on Diwali! A billion people celebrate Diwali, why all the strange looks? |
When we made a stew out of our DS's placenta, I was a little offended when no-one else wanted to share it with us. I thought that the celebration of life was universal, But I guess not. Now I will fling spoonfuls of that stew into their face overtime I see them. |
My religion believes in kissing strangers on the lips in greeting all December.
Happy Kissmus! |
Not quite. Canada deals with same issue. It makes the media at times. (This isn't about people actually saying Merry Christmas) http://www.calgaryherald.com/life/merry+christmas+calgary+transit+continue+with+seasonal+greetings/7717497/story.html I say Merry Christmas back to anyone who says it to me. OP, continue saying Merry Christmas. I'm not sure there's a need to make any more of a point about it. |
Likewise. I'm not remotely offended by your wishing me Merry Christmas, even though I am Jewish (and even if you know I am Jewish). However, I am annoyed at your assumption that your holiday is everyone else's holiday. I am happy to wish you Merry Christmas, but I don't celebrate it, nor do many people I know, so it's hardly universal. It is beautiful though. |
Today I was talking to a Mongolian woman who checks me out at the place where I buy lunch. She asked me if I was mad at Starbucks. Is said "no, don't like their coffee, so it doesn't affect me." She said she was a Buddhist but would never buy their coffee because they ruined Christmas for her. M'kay. |
Lol |
French or regular? |
Gotta say, if your Christmas depends on what design Starbucks uses on their cups, that's just sad. |
She must have not had much of a christmas to begin with if thats all it took to ruin it for her. THE HORROR! |
