Unclench. I seriously doubt that anyone is berating you for saying Merry Christmas. And no one is going to stop you from casting your vote for Donald Trump (unless the Republican nutjob faction has lost by the time you vote in the primary and he isn't on the ballot in your state? Seriously, you might want to move to rural SC just to make sure about that. I've lived there, and you would be right at home) |
Great, so if I wish you happy solstice, that's cool right? Cuz that's what I am proud of celebrating. |
Calm down. Nobody is going to care if you say Merry Christmas. I'm not Christian and I still say merry Christmas back and always spread holiday cheer! |
Are you going to say it to people who you know aren't Christian? If so, that seems a bit insensitive. |
Liberal too. Not Christian. Love Christmas. I think it's fine to wish everyone a merry christmas. But there's no monopoly on the holiday season. You can say what you like, and other people can Kwanzaa you right back. |
As a Christian it pisses me off when people drag my faith into this type of non-issue. If you think Jesus would care about Starbucks and their coffee cup then you are missing the point and ignoring his teachings. |
People like YOU are the problem- insensitive? Bullshit- it's a universal and beautiful holiday. Period end. Merry Christmas to all??????? |
lemme guess, Trump voter? |
So ISIS is overrunning the Middle East, there is a huge refugee crisis in Europe and the Paris climate change summit is about to start. But you are absolutely right... the issue that should be monopolizing your time and energy is that your (vastly) majority religion doesn't have a monopoly on holiday salutations. Glad you have your priorities straight.

It's not a universal holiday, get your head out of the sand. Billions of people around the world do not celebrate it. Saying "Happy holidays" would be universal, "Merry christmas" is not. Now would I be offended if someone said merrry christmas to me? No of course not and I even say it back. What I do find slightly offensive is that you assume it is a universal holiday. |
Can retailers survive without Christmas? |
Agree it's not universal. That's like saying Eid or Yom Kippur is a universal holiday.
There are BILLIONS of people on Earth that don't celebrate Christmas. However, it is a very important holiday of the majority of this country. That doesn't give you automatic rights to shout Merry Christmas in everyone else's face though. |
Ok, Ms or Mr ISIS. |
I bet no one has ever given OP a hard time for saying merry Christmas. Totally made up nonissue. |
