And yet, if there is an ex-husband, it's assumed that the single mom will have coparent baggage, or is defective because her marriage failed.

What about women who had babies after the father of the baby walked out on them? What about women who get pregnant intentionally while single, through sperm donation?

As far as for the OP, try online dating and be prepared to need to do a lot of filtering. My guy is single, buy my child is much older than yours.
