| You're retarded, OP. For multiple reasons. |
There are plenty of other places with usernames, feel free to go there. |
Because anyone who has kids and works has had mornings where they haven't had time to shower. It doesn't keep him or her from showing up to work. FFS. |
This! Do not share too many personal details at work. |

It's funny because I was watching the news this morning and in one neighborhood the reporter was reporting that there was a water main break overnight and that the residents in that area were waking up to no water while workers were trying to repair and restore the water as soon as possible.
So the worker stated to the camera, "Well this morning if you live in __________, you may just have to call in to work and tell your boss you can't come in to the office this morning because the water is out of service and you can't take a shower...." Honestly OP, you did your co-workers a huge favor staying home from work too. I hate it when people stand close to me and they smell so bad. I feel too embarrassed to say anything, so I just breathe through my mouth until they walk away, but I think it is so inconsiderate. People, especially adults...Need to bathe daily!!!!!!! And by the way, the posters who are posting links from someone who they think is the same person....Really??!! You guys really have THAT much time on your hands?? |

If I knew about the outage, I would shower the night before and go into the office.
If I didn't, and I woke up with drizzy hair, gross breathe, and greasy skin, I'd probably email my boss, explain no water, and say, "are you ok with me working from home today until the water is back on and I can shower? If not, no worries, I can come in." |

PP, your troll radar is awesome! STOP FEEDING THE TROLL PEOPLE! |
| The sad thing is that I'm not convinced OP is a troll. I think she might just be an incredibly immature woman, potentially with a personality disorder. |
YES! CosmoTroll it is!!

This thread is hilarious. This is trollery of the highest calibre! Just what I needed to unwind from a long day!
We need a Troll Porn page to feature "best of" examples. |
I beg to differ. The persons I know with developmental delays and intellectual disabilities have a very strong work ethic and would never dream of calling in sick to work. They love their jobs and volunteer work. |
Really? People who bathe daily are going to stink after one day of not showering? Well, maybe - those antibacterial soaps that kill everything, including friendly lactobacilli, just leave the playing field wide open for the stinkiest sort of bacteria to gain a foothold. Also, removing oils from your skin has the effect of stimulating your oil glands to produce more oil - thus continuing the spiral. Not everyone is so stinky. DH showers nightly but has never used soap in his life. He has never, ever, ever had B.O., not even stinky feet. If I get really, really close to his armpit I would smell a faint smell, but it's more of a musky, manly smell, not a bad one at all. OK, so maybe sometimes he might very faintly smell of garlic, but he consumes in moderation so I doubt most people would notice. I do pretty much the same - frequent showers, but no soap. Have used baby wipes in a pinch, and I also have a watering can not unlike those used by Muslims, so that certain areas can always be clean even if I don't have time for a shower. We also eat pretty healthily - not overly high in protein, many vegetables, low sugar, and lots of healthy lacto-fermented foods. I think diet does affect body chemistry on the skin. Don't you people keep an emergency supply of water on hand? If my being able to go to work depended on such a thing, I would probably be hoarding many more gallons than I have now. OP, you are crazy. If you are that disgusting after one skipped shower, there may be something wrong with your health. Most likely, it's in your head. And if I were your boss, I would definitely question your commitment. How unfair for your coworkers - surely many of them have come in on days when they were facing something more difficult than you. At the very least, you have adult Special Snowflake Syndrome and an apparent lack of creativity and flexibility. |
