Cosmo...Magazine's "Free" Gifts...Ha...What a Joke!

So..I signed on for a subscription to Cosmo magazine for two years. Part of the incentive was that they said if I signed up for a two year subscription online, I would receive a beautiful Cosmo handbag FREE with my paid subscription. Well I paid with my Visa credit card and that was four months ago. I never got my Cosmo handbag so I contacted them online and they said supplies were out, but I would receive an item of similar or more value in two weeks.

Today I open up my package from Cosmo and what did they send me?

One of those fifty cent re-usable tote bags from the grocery store with the ugliest pattern I have ever seen!

What a scam! -----> My advice for those incentives to subscribe to magazines: Don't believe the hype.

What did you think you were going to get a leather bag?

I got a fleece throw from NYTimes about 15 years ago and we still use it regularly. I think you need to adjust your expectations about "free" stuff.

OP, did you buy two pairs of checkered Vans a couple weeks ago?

Adult women read Cosmo?

OP, are you sincerely surprised, or are you just pulling our legs?

Well, there's your problem right there.

Yeah, those free gifts are always crummy. Disappointing, for sure. My kids like them though!

That "beautiful Cosmo handbag" would have been a shoddy looking piece of vinyl crap, at best, OP. You're a naive one, aren't you?
