| OP is correct. We received an email notification as well. |
| THANK YOU to previous poster. Just want to say I have another child who would not qualify for HCG. This year our child was accepted. We got an email informing us of this, which I shared because people on this thread were ASKING if anyone heard. Sharing information with other parents to be helpful is SO not rewarding when you are accused of being a troll and/or bragging or lying. |
| For those who received emails, were they all for CCES? Waiting to hear from another program and did not receive an email. Thanks. |
The poster who claims to have received an email is not the OP. |
| Waiting to hear is stressful, especially when emails went out to some students. Maybe the CCES should have waited until everyone received letters. I am assuming no one else has heard from other gifted centers/schools. I am hopeful for DS to go to Pine Crest/ Oak View. We all want the best for our kids. |
| It's weird that CCES had the parents' emails. My child goes to a different HGC and the school does not even have the parents' email addresses. But I believe the poster. |
Get off your high horse already and just be glad your child is accepted. Please realize parents are stressed out and find it unfair that some are notified by email before others receive their letters - which I believe has not happened in the past, hence the disbelief. |
| Poster here. If I am not mistaken this thread is to provide people with information about whether acceptances had gone out? I understand people are nervous which is why I posted that we had heard via email. I was called a liar and a troll. That seems a little extreme for just sharing information. The overall lack of civility on these forums is really depressing. |

Just received the letter. Not accepted for CCES. Had not received an email either. |
Good to know. Thanks. I have a feeling that the trickle will become a flood as mail gets delivered today. It doesn't take THAT long for mail to get from Hungerford Drive to points around Montgomery County, although I am sure that some will not hear until tomorrow or Friday. Fingers crossed that everyone gets what they need. |
| Good luck to all |
| The waiting is killing me! Of course I hope my kid is accepted but on the other hand it will be a difficult choice to leave friends, miss out on being a patrol, and leave little brother alone on the bus. If not accepted it will make the decision easy. Trying to see the bright side here! |
| For CCES acceptances - when is your open house scheduled? Long story - but we are worried we might be out of town if our child is accepted (different center) |
| CCES invitees were sent emails b/c the open house is on Monday. I don't think any other centers were notified via email. |
| next Monday? Ugh- so frustrating. They said acceptances and visits in April. |
