If DC applies to Emory or Georgia Tech, will confederate flags be flying?

Because that wouldn't be progressive or liberal to point out, now would it.

Be careful, your intolerance is showing....

Oh geez - I guess Liberals scare you as much as neighborhoods that have black people. Not everyone is as closed minded. And yes - I am intolerant of the narrow minded racists who think areas that have any non whites are scary. The world is moving in that direction too so be careful.

However, I will explain why I didn't comment on Georgia Tech.
I didn't mention Georgia Tech because I'm not familiar with the campus. Apparently I'm supposed to make something up and comment that there are a lot of black people living in Atlanta and that Conservatives are scared of them so that's a reason for others to be scared too. Since I'm not scare of black people, I assumed there were others like me. Sorry about that!

I lived in Atlanta and never had a reason to go anywhere near Georgia Tech so I'm not going to warn anyone about it. I have NO idea what it's like. I'm sure someone who has more information can give their opinion. That said, I do know a lot about the area around Emory so I thought I could add value. I didn't realize it was an all or nothing rule here. My guess is that the OP wanted helpful comments and that is what I was trying to provide. My observations are real. Your comments are just an opportunity for you to release all of your frustration that racists like you are a dying breed.

You have to be a damn fool to walk around neighborhoods where you know there is a high crime rate and think you are immune to it. It's not a matter of race, fear, liberalism, etc. It's a matter of practicality.

The biases towards southerners and fly-over on this forum are hilarious, and the intellectual elitism shown by DC area liberals is just sad.

Also knew many AA from Georgia Tech & Emory. Great schools and they had little problems. They loved it also.

To be clear, there have been reports of mini non Southern University with racial tension. What matters is how the university handles it and how the students recover after any major incident. That is the case everywhere. High School workplace life.

Thank you! This is exactly my point!!

Why, of course. You were supposed to get one in your admit packet.

How is Sewanee: the University of the South?

Sewanee is less a purely southern LAC than it was 20 years ago, but it still retains a very southern orientation. My rising junior has enjoyed the experience and counts many non-southerners as close friends. While there is not that much diversity in the student body, most ethnicities seem to be represented on campus and there seems to be a commitment to making all students feel welcome and involved. While there is a large Greek influence on the social scene, there are no "closed" parties and there seems to be more of a focus on inclusiveness at the college. The remote location (on a plateau in a rural area between Nashville and Chattanooga) is not for everyone, but the campus is strikingly attractive with considerable outdoor opportunities for those with that interest.

Many in this area think "redskins" is just fine.

+1 and many of the LibTards are posting from a bubble where their DC are walled off from the real world.

Nothing funnier than watching DMV liberals justify the redskins name.
