George Zimmerman in Custody after Threatening Wife with Gun

Anonymous
What kind of environment did this guy grow up in that he's like this? You wouldn't expect that from a judge's family member.

People who are drawn to guns are like this. The gun gives them power over others.

George Zimmerman's wife tells police on 911 call that's the last time she dresses up like a black teenager-C. Rock

I think these two were made for each other.

Shellie & George forever! XOXO

The year 2005 was a bad one for Zimmerman: he was arrested for fighting with a cop trying to arrest his friend for underage drinking, and he and his ex-fiancée took out protective orders against each other.

An unnamed former co-worker told the New York Daily News that George Zimmerman was paid under-the-table for providing security for illegal house parties between 2001 and 2005, but was let go because his anger issues “became a liability.”

He certainly hasn't matured since then. He's aged, but he hasn't matured and learned how to control his temper.

She sounds like a piece of work:

"Shellie Zimmerman was asking that her husband pay for a permanent life insurance policy with her named as the beneficiary, according to a divorce petition made public last week."

If you were dependent on an unstable husband, you'd want him to get some life insurance, too.

According to Chief Steve Bracknell, Shellie Zimmerman called 911 claiming George Zimmerman had a gun and was making threats. The victims are not speaking to police and were waiting for their attorney to arrive, Bracknell said.

As of 3:20 p.m., no arrests have been made.

Frankly, given what Zimmerman went through in the media, etc, his life is a living hell and people for some reason think this is OK. Personally, I don't.

I think his wife is going to milk that for all its worth - starting with the media interview she gave. He's no longer of any use to her and she wants money. Can you imagine your wife, knowing there was a bounty on your head, wanting you to buy a life insurance policy with her as the beneficiary? How cold is THAT?

Whether I think what happened was right or wrong, the man was tried and convicted in the media and public eye, despite the fact that he was acquitted. I find that disgusting.

The article was updated since I first posted. The current article (which also may eventually be updated), says this (which you appear to have edited):

"As of 3:45 p.m., no arrests have been made and George Zimmerman is 'no longer in investigative detention'.

So, Zimmerman was being held at one point.

My vote is "questioned" and "held" are equals...detained is a step beyond.

Most here will probably admit they'd hoped he was being detained, but 'held' and 'questioned' really don't have much sunlight between then.

Yet, I didn't use the word "detained". I quoted exactly from the original newspaper article.

I think what most posters are concerned about is that Zimmerman was involved in a domestic dispute with a gun. They are less concerned with semantics.

I'm not concerned about that at all, Jeff. And after reading the linked article, the title of this thread is very misleading, even if it did come from the article.

OJ got away with killing a white woman.

OJ is in jail. And maybe if she hasn't been on her knees... Never mind

Are you FUCKING SERIOUS?????? Have some damn respect!

OJ is not in jail for this murder or the murder of Ron, despite all the DNA evidence.

Only the criminals who own guns. The ones who carry them illegally.

So now she's 'dependent'? What happened to feminism?

Actually, I'd get a damn job.

OJ proved a rich Black man could get away with the same shit as a rich White man. Hooray racial equality!
