George Zimmerman in Custody after Threatening Wife with Gun

The victims are not talking to police about the alleged incident and he is being questioned not bring held. A big difference than what the OP put in headline.

According to Chief Steve Bracknell, Shellie Zimmerman called 911 claiming George Zimmerman had a gun and was making threats. The victims are not speaking to police and were waiting for their attorney to arrive, Bracknell said.

As of 3:20 p.m., no arrests have been made.

Well, Zimmerman is lucky that phone call didn't get him killed.

The article was updated since I first posted. The current article (which also may eventually be updated), says this (which you appear to have edited):

"As of 3:45 p.m., no arrests have been made and George Zimmerman is 'no longer in investigative detention'.

So, Zimmerman was being held at one point.

According to CNN, the latest is that he was threatening his father in law.

And people were defending this guy like he's some angel. Please, he's a hot head with obvious anger issues that pulls his gun out to make himself feel like a man.

My vote is "questioned" and "held" are equals...detained is a step beyond.

Most here will probably admit they'd hoped he was being detained, but 'held' and 'questioned' really don't have much sunlight between then.

Yet, I didn't use the word "detained". I quoted exactly from the original newspaper article.

I think what most posters are concerned about is that Zimmerman was involved in a domestic dispute with a gun. They are less concerned with semantics.

The Associated Press reports that Zimmerman allegedly violently threatened his estranged wife, Shellie, and her father first with a knife, punched the father-in-law in the nose, and pulled out his gun at her parents’ house in Lake Mary, Central Florida, just days after Shellie filed for divorce.

In her 911 call, Shellie said, “He continuously has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying ‘get closer.” She continued, “I’m really really afraid. I don’t know what he’s capable of. I’m really, really scared.”

The family is considering whether to press charges, and no arrest has been made yet.

She knows he killed that young boy in cold blood. That's why she's trying to get as far away from him as possible.

Even though this is the FOURTH violent incident GZ has been involved with (killing Trayvon Martin, punching a police officer, a prior domestic violence incident with a former girlfriend)
And don't forget when he lost control while working as a bouncer and threw a woman across the room. His co-worker said he over-reacted.

Or the molestation allegations from his cousin.

Narcissists are immune to "lessons."
